Great stuff! Been using that for nearly a year now. Since I swap oil after every track weekend I am on my 3rd fill up with this product. It's nearly anti-freeze green, and made my heart skip a beat the first time I poured it in. This plus CeraTec and I'm happy.
I'm using the Liquid Moly 5W-40 in the purple jug for my W211 and am really pleased with the results. Switched over from Mobil 1 0W-40 and the engine seems to run a bit smoother and quieter.

It is the same formula as the "High Tech" with MoS2 and the UV dye for leak checking, Good stuff, nothing revolutionary, and not yet approved by MB.
Neither are MoS2, Ceratec, and all the other additives people are adding to quiet these motors down though...
Great stuff, was using this in my Audi A3 wagon and loved it. Been using purple jug LiquiMoly for years, best stuff out there for the $$ and performance. About to use this in my E350 oil change this weekend, first change since I bought the car....LOL
The difference you hear doesn’t determine whether the oil is better or not. You don’t diagnose and then fix engine problems solely by sound. You do it through quantitative testing and analysis. You need to see a VOA/UOA and compare versus other oils to tell what’s going on and whether it is “good” or “bad” for the engine. Oil weight isn’t the end all be all of variables, you have to look at the base and additive pack, and how good a job the oil does of keeping the engine clean and wear metals down over time intervals.
Every single higher weight oil will definitely make lifter noise “sound better” versus a 0W. That doesn’t mean it’s better (i.e. masking the problem), and certainly could be worse. Go ahead and put a 15W in there by your logic. Engine will be super quiet, guaranteed.
From what I've researched so far, I'd just stick with Mobile 0w40, and an alternating interval of Ceratec every 2 years and mos2 every change in between. Might actually end up being cheaper than some of these newer oils, plus you know you're putting in additives that work.
All are sticking to the letter of the owner's manual as far as the oil and ignoring to the letter the message of the factory to the owners to not use any additives.
Then again I am sticking to the manual as far as the oil too, so guilty too.
The only thing I've done so far is to switch my Subaru to Liqui Moly 5w40.
This from using for 50k mikes Castrol 5w50.
Subaru calls for a range of oils most common is 5w30.
So I monitor oil pressure and temperature to reference pressures in idle.
The Liqui dropped idle pressure from 24 PSI to 18 for the same temperature.
The engine sounds more noisy valve wise. Ok, subjective.
Temperatures reach about the same maximum.
I think I picked up 1 MPG maybe more.
i believe the change in oil viscosity does in fact directly affect oil temps as well. that is one thing to take note of. forgot which does what. oil pressures change as well.
if you're worrying about oil temps my standpoint is to focus on cooling, not on the product. you want the product to perform and protect...a lubricant's purpose isn't there to raise or lower temps.
Finally got around to trying this oil today. it's a lot thicker than the other oils I've tried.it poors like almost honey and a weird green color.
Drove around for 35 mins and the car never saw over 230 oil temps. With 8100 I would easily hit 237-240 oil temps.
Too soon to tell but man the car is a lot smoother.it feels like I installed brand new engine mounts lol
I'm sticking to this oil from now on and highly recommend you guys to try it out.

The car is NOT running cooler - it is actually running hotter. The oil is thicker and doesn't flow as easily as the 0W-40 you had in it before so it doesn't remove as much heat from the nooks and crannies inside the engine (where the hot spots are now even hotter and as a result the oil provides even less protection than before). Hachiroku is correct - the thicker the oil, the lower the flow rate and thus the lower the amount of heat that you're removing from the engine (the engine doesn't heat up any less - you're simply not removing as much of the heat with the oil). If you fill your engine with Vaseline or molasses, the oil temperature sender would indicate that the oil is still at ambient temperature right up to (and past) the point when the engine completely seizes.

LM molygen is using a new metal friction modifier and they are claiming 30% better metal to metal lubrication than there regular hi tec 5w40.
My car today never hit 197 collant temps the highest I saw was 195 and stayed around 190-192
I would see 197-201 degrees water temps 3 days ago on 8100 5w40
