Has anyone ever had this horrible noise before and knows what the problem is?
Lifters have been replaced, the engine has compression and oil is running as well.

It gets more quiet after some time and it seems to come only from that side. 2009 with 144000km.
A specialist who worked on that car before said actuators. He replaced left exhaust and right intake actuators on that car a while back.

Sounds like the engine in this vid:
The bloke did not respond to the comments.
Maybe the flaps in the intake manifold failed. One member experienced this and reported very loud knocking.

Good luck.

What's that brown looking thing in the middle that looks like a spiders leg got chopped off?
It doesn't look great with those little specs though....do they catch on a magnet?
I guess if you want to rule out all doubt, get your mechanic to pull the sump and wiggle the big ends of the rods....you'll have your answer if it's rod knock or anything else less sinister.

Your have a lot of metal chip in your oil filter (cop color) this kind of metal come from bearing (like rod bearing or crankbearing) ...
stop driving the car and remove the engine and remove oil pan to see what happen on rod bearing or crank...
really sad time ...
