I can login to the BLG portal and see the status of my car and IFF will keep me posted when the car clears Customs. Once at the VPC the dealership can track it again, but not before.
Superswiss, is it possible for US buyers like me to contact BLG/IFF directly and see if they can provide the manifest info (to see if my car is on it)? Do you have any contact info?

I don't think so. The difference between ED and regular shipping is that in case of ED, the car is actually mine and it's shipped in my name, so I'm BLG's client. You need a contract number and VIN to login to their portal. In your case, the car isn't yours yet and it's shipped under MB and they have the contract number. If you can get it, then you can log into their portal. Same with IFF. My car will clear customs under my name as personal property. I had to give IFF power of attorney to import the car on my behalf.

I've mixed up my 9 and 6. The Martorell is supposed to depart from Bremerhaven on July 9, not July 6 as I previously thought. Was wondering why it was still in Emden yesterday My car is waiting to be loaded.

mrguitar,
I don't know anything more than you...
Trying to keep a positive mental attitude for you though!!!
Our cars are built in Bremerhaven, according to the factory tour guide in Sindelfingen.
So, if it actually finished production in the last week, I'd say it's going on this ship...

Stay positive!!!!

Not quite. The factory is in Bremen. Bremerhaven is close to it, and is the port city/enclave of Bremen. They are about 45-60 minutes apart. The name essentially means Port of Bremen, and the two cities together form the State of Bremen.

Don't give up. Check with your dealer if the status has changed to indicate the car is at the port.

trying to stay positive, but it's hard to remain so when it comes to AMG's timelines due to all the missed schedules...I guess we'll see. Unfortunately, my SA said no changes in NetStar as of this morning, either...

Yeah, I'm not sure if NetStar stays up to date at this point in the game, but if so, I'm not going to be on the boat, since my SA says "no change" as of today. I have the AMG manager trying to find out too, but she said she doesn't have any info today either...hopes faaaaailing.

As far as I know it does. From others who have posted their event history, there are events for the car being at the port, but not assigned to a vessel and another status for at port and assigned to a vessel. If your status hasn't changed, then yes, I would say your car is still sitting at the factory in Bremen awaiting transport to Bremerhaven.

SHEEEEESH! What are these people doing over there? "Hey, let's just look at the car sitting in the factory for a few days/weeks." Seriously, if there was some legitimate activity going on, like quality checks, etc. then that's understandable, but it's so infuriating if I miss a boat and have to wait weeks for another one, and with TERRIBLE communication. I know I'm venting some frustration, but at this point it's just one thing building on another due to lack of visibility/communication...thus far to me, AMG's biggest problem is their lack of communication...anywayzzzzzzzz

They have to be transported to the port. Not sure what their capacity is for transporting vehicles to the port and how many train loads of cars actually fit on a vessel, but I assume quite a lot. Remember, Emden is another port where cars get loaded. Audi/VW for example ship from Emden, so the vessel at this point will have lots of cars going to the West Coast already on it. When I did the factory tour in Sindelfingen, both my friend and I were surprised by how many brand new vehicles are parked around the facility just standing around. Lines of new AMG GTs etc. parked everywhere you looked. Some of these might have been waiting for their future owners to pick them up at the delivery center, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a couple of weeks for the cars to get on a train to Bremerhaven. The port has to have space, too, for those cars while they wait to be loaded on a vessel. They may have to wait for the Martorell to be loaded before the next batch of cars can arrive from the factory, but I would say at this point, yours is unlikely to make this journey.
