2013 CL 63-AMG
2012 CL-63 Tune

Hi I am new to this forum and will be purchasing a 2012 or 13 CL-63 I have not seen much in new threads on this car thus far.In 2005 I owned a new 2006 CL-55 AMG and just loved that car.I would like to find the P-30 performance option however there are very few out there. With that being said is there anyone familiar with Alpha or others that do ECU tuning?
Thanks in advance!

I would look on the E63, CLS63, SL63 and S63 sites as well in that order. Since all the platforms share the same motor, you will be able to gather more info to help guide you in selecting your tuner.

I know you have some more mods since your 10.79 run so I'm looking forward to seeing some even quicker times from you.

But I don't intend to be so slow next year either.

Don't waste your time with the stereo and get that killer chiller installed!!! I'm curious to see how it works. You have a lot more race time under your belt than me, I've only made passes a total of 3 times in my life, all with this car. I think we are the only ones really playing with these cars and I appreciate your help. good luck on your side of the continent.

Killer chiller is already sitting on my "parts to install" shelf.

Always glad to help any way I can. A lot of my passes are bracket racing though so I'm not always set on kill trying to run a number. Since I don't have a cage the track will only let me run King Of The Street or Trophy classes with the CL instead of the money bracket I used to run. My desktop is looking different now that I run trophy 6 days each of the last 2 years.

You're not alone!

Its just that some of us are paying for the consequences of our over-ambitiousness. After three years of work, including rebuilding the turbos last year, I finally got my Euro-charged V12TT motor running as it should, then what did I do? Broke the transmission! I've been rebuilding that an hour every evening for the last few weeks. I just finished putting the awkward B2/B3 clutch assy together tonight.

I never took my car to the dyno or the strip, but I feel like I ought to, considering how much I've done to her.

I can say from experience that once the bug hits and we start to have fun and see results at the track that it becomes a mission to tweak and make her even faster.
Never with high end cars like these but with American muscle!

Make the power, put the power down now we need bigger gears, axles etc its a balancing act and someone has to start it rolling to find the weakest link.
Keep up the good work your cranking!

How many miles on your car? I think you know your car (literally)inside and out and better than most. I hope the tranny is the last thing for a while. Did you do turbo upgrades or just stock rebuilds? Either way, at this point with all the suspension repairs, coolant modifications, fresh turbos and tranny you should have a beast on your hands. Good luck.

It all starts with a simple tune, then its a matter of self control.

164,000 miles. The engine's great - it's everything else that's the problem. The turbos are stock. I did look at doing some upgrades, but chickened out.

I've been putting some lists together, and this is what I've done:

Engine:
Rebuilt turbos with engine in situ
Engine mounts in situ
Long coil pack heat shields
Diverter valves
T-bolt hose clamps
Engine radiator
Engine fan
Spark plugs
Coil pack

Transmission:
Transmission rebuild
Torque converter
Conductor plate
TCM Connector
Oil, filter & gasket
Transmission mount

Suspension:
Wide front wheels & tyres
Compression jointed hoses
Fire sleeved hoses
Uprated front strut bushes
Uprated steering bushes
Rear struts
ABC pump
ABC pipes
ABC accumulator
ABC Height sensor

Charge cooling:
Engine radiator
Engine cooling pump
Custom pump controller
Coolant temp sensor
Header tank
Charge Cooler Bleeders
Insulated Charge Coolers
Insulated IC pipes

Consumables:
Front tyres
Front discs
Front pads
Rear tyres
Rear pads
Rear shoes
Battery
Speed sensors
Lambda sensors
Temperature sensors
Pressure sensor
Rain sensor
Lots & lots of O-rings
Windscreen seal
Raised rear seat cushion

To-do List:
Intake pipe heat shields
ABC water cooling
Android Head Unit
Fuel pump
Ignition switch
Rear discs

The price of ambition...........

Nick

2013 CL 63-AMG
TunerWerks CA?

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!!

I purchased a sweet 2013 CL- 63 AMG with performance package and as she stands I find this car to be a solid straight line performer. However without re inventing the wheel so to speak I would like to perhaps further maximize her potential!

Are any of you guy's or gals as you just never know these days, familiar with the modules from TunerWerks out of CA?

They claim just with ecu change 178 hp and 236 ft lbs of torque over standard model which on my performance package equates to 151 more hp and 163 ft lbs of torque .

I would need to see real world results someone with ecu that has said miles etc before and after in order to make the change.
Thank you and have a great Holiday!
