Engine mount's - Advice neded!
Hello guy's
It's time to change the engine mounts on my CL 55.
Initially i wanted to go for Lemforder mounts but then some people spooked me. They said that after market mounts are just not worth it and have bad quality and i should only opt for original engine mounts.
The big dilema is that the Lemforder mounts are 57$ each and original are 155$ each.
Any of you had expierience with these engine mounts? is there really such a big difference between the OE/OEM's and original mounts?
Any advice would be appriciated

I ordered for the CL 55 the black series mounts and for my W221 S500 original mercedes ones but now i am sorry i didnt go for the lemforder on the S500.
Although i ordered the Black Series mount for the engine on the CL55, i allready have a Lemforder mount for the transmission. I just hope it wont be an issue going for the black engine mounts with a non black transmission mount.
The black series transmission mount is about 230$

Low cost mounts
I changed my engine mounts with low cost parts and they seem to work fine ! The biggest improvement I had was the trans mount replacement - totally fixed the vibration at 1500 to 3000 RPM. also a low cost aftermarket part.
Wish I'd replaced the trans mount first as I don't think the engine mounts were bad. If vibration is a problem try the trans mount first as it is really easy to replace.

Lemforder is fine - I actually just bought Corteco's for all three and they were even less --- I did my trans and like pawraw I noticed a difference even though I didn't think it was out, it had dropped a whole inch or so -- for the motor mounts I'll have to pay to get them done as I have longtube headers and they eliminate any clearance there once was
