2024 Order Guide
Find attached. CLA 45 has been replaced with the S model in the US. They've also gotten rid of the Sun Yellow color, which is unbelievable!

Comparing the CLA 45 vs CLA 45s performance numbers, is there an engine component difference between the two? I've seen both mentions of solely ECU tune or different cooling used. Does anyone know?

Like I mentioned the performance quoted in the original article is the exact same as the 382hp model. The trap speeds for the non S were also recorded at 114mph. Someone who is much more knowledgeable than me would be able to elaborate but based on the vehicles weight and trap speed it is making way more than the claimed 382hp. I have yet to see any difference in straight line performance between the S and non S CLA 45 AMG. For reference my stock Focus RS had 350hp and trapped around 103mph. The CLA 45 AMG feels much, much faster and it’s not just because of the automatic. It pulls noticeably harder in gear. I’m not convinced there is any difference in output between the CLA 45 AMG “382hp” and the CLA 45 AMG S 416hp other than what MB is claiming. Not sure why they under report it, maybe to nudge people to the S.
I still think it’s cool that is is coming to the US though. Makes me wonder if I should have waited to buy, but I’m guessing these are going to be hard to find in a spec I like and then there will be the issue of markup.

True but they don't have a warranty, MB if offering it stock they need to back it up with a warranty but honestly speaking the Weistec and others' tune are very reliable anyways.

Yes, it is in the order guide. When my dealer went to order it (type in the order in the MB system) earlier there was no 459 to be selected, and that is why I asked about it.

Shop around as well, not all dealerships are created equal, some dealerships used to be corporately owned by TRG not anymore, now they are entirely privately owned.
I wonder if they are reluctant to admit the car is available is either 1. The salesperson doesn't know about it 2. They are planning a markup

That sounds about right... I got with my manager and it should be standard on the S, but even then you can still order them with AMG Ride control. We have three orders in at the moment with them.

In Canada, the CLA 35 is confirmed for Q4. The CLA 45 S also is confirmed, but is delayed and currently not orderable.
