Road noise
This is my first clk 430, and i was wondering about certain road noise. My car is a 2000, and the road noise is a little too much i believe, is it my tire brand (mischelin pilot sport A/S) or just old suspension, is this a common problem with this car?

Hi I have had the same problem in my Opel with the same tires. For me it was the tires, after the tread had got down to about 50% they were really noisey. Once I put a new set of bridgestores on it was half the volume.
Apparently its not uncommon for Michelin tires to do it.

pilot sport A/S are suppose to be some of the quietest tires you can by (so I have been told) I am not yet through 50% of the tread so I can not speak to that.
I had a lot of road noise. I got Pilot Sports A/S and the noise went down. I still had what sounded like road noise though. I came to find out that I had a shot hub bearing in the back passenger wheel. Once I had gotten that taken care of "road noise" is almost all gone. As all gone as it can be in a cab.
Im not saying this is your problem, but it was mine and might be something to look at if you yet up with good tires and still feel like maybe its too loud.

The only thing else i can think of would be suspension, being that the car is 10 years old. But my 95 cadillac was 15 yrs. old and sounded quiet, and its suspension wasnt the greatest, it had khumos on it.
