Quad ///AMG Tips and Diffuser Installed on a CLK500
As promised, here is my thread for my exhaust and diffuser mods. I would like to thank Klinh (sorry Wes, Ha, Ha!), FatTony, Evolved8, Steve@MBenznl, CLKINDIVIDUAL, Andy (M-bENZ) and Wesley (dynomite05) for the DIYs and helpful information.
***This is just my experience, modify your car at your own risk***
The Bumper installation
I followed the advise of these threads
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...asy-steps.html
https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...ion-guide.html
My experience, cutting the bumper was easy but I would recommend having a professional shop install the diffuser. If you want to install the bumper yourself (like me) here is some helpfull tips. Make sure you create a rough surface on the diffuser and bumper so the glue can take hold. I ended up using both the double sided tape and the body glue to make the diffuser stick. The ends of the diffuser is the most troublesome (pieces that are near the rear tire), so make sure to periodically check the condition of the bond.
The Exhaust
I had my shop remove my secondary cats, resonator, muffler and install the high flow cats and put the muffler where the resonator used to be.
My opinion, the muffler sounds more loud, I feel a little more top end on the highway and there is no drone around town; but cruzing at around 2400 RPM and higher (80+ MPH) there is some drone.
Parts

Nice upgrade!
What shop did you use for the exhaust work? Mind sharing how much you paid for the exhaust work? Any sound clips or vids of your exhaust?

Since this FXAutodesign is close to me, I was thinking of doing the Suede Headliner and H&R spring install; what do you guys think?

Yes I do Wes. I have lined the back of the license plate with rubber, originally to remove rattling because of the subwoofer. Works just as good! ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
