the reason why it is not ok to pose is because it drags down the name of the brand, guys in civics trying to convince me they would take me because they have beaten AMG's before...
you clearly don't have the reasoning power to understand this issue so just get out of the discussion.... enjoy getting laughed at by people in G37's etc because they just beat a c300 AMG...

What about the ones that do a face lift?
Like my 07 s65 is not a 2010+ but I am putting all new parts on it.
So when some one sees my car may not believe its a 65 or v12.
I look at as o well most will find out the hard way if they try to race me lol.
I dont under stand the ones with a s550 and AMG badge and maybe wheels think they have a full out amg car.

Sport package = AMG badge
Chrome wheels = AMG badge (mostly black guys in W220 S430s- not trying to be racist, but that's just what I notice)
Quad tip extension add on = AMG badge (regard above)
AMG aftermarket rims = AMG badge
If none of the above were applied then it's "Owns a Mercedes = AMG badge"

I'm an E550 driver but not an ///AMG poser. I saw a Nissan Pathfinder with Mercedes-Benz logos the other day in Denver, thank G-d he didn't put them on straight otherwise I would have never figured out that it wasn't a Mercedes.
I can't wait to see a civic or some ricer with an AMG badge and knock-off wheels. That'll be the day.

Well true, still cheapens the AMG nameplate because the AMG equivalent to the SL600 (currently anyway) is the SL65 and there's still a 107,000 separating the two.
