Not for me...I'm more of a road racer than a drag race. I am just about where I want to be HP wise. Maybe going to do some cams, head work and real ram air next winter. That thing looks heavy and bulky as hell, I'd like to know what it adds weight wise. An extra 100 plus pounds over the front wheels is never a good thing. If drag racing is your forte, then that looks like it's going to be the hot set-up for the future of the 63.

Any word on if that thing is going to require a custom hood? Little or no clearence under the hood now, I'd say .625" or less.

I doubt it'll require a custom hood since what the goal is to have more power but retain the exterior MB look. Me personally i wouldn't want a hood bulging on my benz. Just doesn't look right.

I don't see how they are going to fit it. It looks thicker than the stock manifold. I know for a fact that there is no room under the hood, both Evosport and I clayed it for clearence and i would say there is .50"-.625" max. If you remove the insulator pad it may buy you another .25".

Let me if I can clarify some issues:
1. Extra weight - between removing stock manifold and adding supercharger and it's supporting components, weight gain will be under 30 lbs.
2. Blower will clear the hood, as it sits inside engine valley. As we progress, I will post more pictures.
At 5 psi, on a stock engine, I expect 520-530 RWHP.

20+ to list......
Isn't the 7 speed tranny very close to its limit torque wise? It's pretty cool to see a SC'd 63 car, but I'm not sure how long the tranny is going to last even at 5psi of boost, and if tranny upgrade is a must, I rather stick with N/A tune up. Let alone those heavy blowers from KB, I had to ditch the blower on my V8 Focus and go for twin turbos because of the weight and the extra omph up top and of course, them fine atmosphere dump wastegates.
Leave the extra boost to the 55 cars, I would be more interested to see a E/CLS/S 55 with Kenny Bell's blower upgrade.

might change my mind when i see how much more power one of these can add to a 55 though
