I know this doesn't help for this event as I'm in DFW, but I'd love to get this done. If someone offered a tuning file and any hardware for remote install I'd pick it up.

Will finalize price and a shop in the LA area if we have enough interest.

Shooting for at least 10 cars to make this 'group buy' work. Only have 3 so far...

It would be the easiest to have your car at the shop to plugin and update code.

If not, then you would have send your ecu and pull out the bottom half of your transmission. Then send that to the shop for programing.

Or if there is enough interest in DFW area maybe a shop can send someone out there to update all the cars.

I have done the mod on my CLK 63 (non BS) and I could not consider driving my car without the blip.
If you have a CLK 63 BS or not do not hesitate, JUST DO IT

For those who have done the blip... Does it effect the engine braking in a negative way or at all??

It doesn't ... it helps the car to stay stable under heavy braking and downshifting at the same time before going into a corner. My E46 M3 SMG, E63 M6 SMG, 997.2 TT PDK and now my F10 M5 all have/had throttle blip from the factory

I understand for cars with a double clutch, but I was told with our engine it may effect the engine braking. Just wondering because the engine baking is one of my favortie featues of the black.

Someone with blip can correct me if I'm mistaken, the only thing effected is the initial lunge when down shifting. With the blip the lunge shouldn't be as noticeable but you still have the engine braking effect when your foot is off the gas pedal. Plus you have the wonderful sound of the blip itself!
