P1700 Code showing up
Just started getting this P1700 code I have cleared the code twice so far in a week.
I noticed the tranny does not stay in lower gear for a longer time when cold.
Is this a upshift delay valve issue.
Anyone have this problem?

That one is not on my list of MB DTC's. http://www.buellwinkle.com/MBOBD2.html
Is your generic OBDII scanner pulling it up?

I suspect you are finding descriptions for other manufacturers and need to find MB's useage of that code to know what going on.
You might try using a different scanner and see if it can correctly pull up a MB code.

Range codes are Manufacturer specific.
You need to find an MB code reader capable of reading the TCM codes.
A P0700 or P1700 are indicating you have codes stored in the TCM and you need to get at those codes to find out what the issue is.
Any leaks, check around the electrical connector on the trans passenger side.

There are no leaks anywhere around the tranny.
Have been under there changing the motor mounts and tranny mount recently.
Tranny fluid was changed in the spring.
I guess a trip to the indie to read the codes is next step.

Well I cleared the code and I had another MAF as a back up,So I installed that and so far the code has not come back.
I am unsure if the MAF has anything to do with the tranny.
