Yea, thats what I expected to hear! That once you buy it from 1 dealer, you could take that to any other dealer and they would honor that.
Thanks for the input! Will look into and reach out to Jeff Jackson.
Planning on looking into PrePaid Mantenance as well so maybe try getting a better price together.
Actually the guy I bought it from never drove pretty much lol.. I just got a damn good price on it and couldnt pass it up!

Used Jeff Jackson as well. Only wanted the 75K options as I don't expect to put a lot of miles on the car. Shopped the local dealers and compared to Jeff's quote. He was about 25% cheaper than my "best" local dealer quote. He was very easy to work with. If anyone is interested his direct line is 502 894-6829.

But I bet they're more likely to come in for an inspection of the vehicle for an expensive repair, in which case, if you're modified at all, you're hosed.Originally Posted by AZBENZ-CTSV

I don't think modifications explicitly void the manufacturer's warranty, but 99% of aftermarket warranty contracts have verbiage that clearly and explicitly states that ANY modification from OEM specs voids the warranty in its entirety...

Need some advice from you warranty gurus!
Picked up an immaculate 2016 C63S Sedan this past week. The car had 4,800 miles day of purchase. I bought from a Porsche dealership who offered me a 3 yr/60K mile warranty for $3,2K through Ally.
Based on what I've read here, that seems higher than what I'd expect for a car that only has ~5K miles.
Any thoughts/feedback? No way for me to get any form of extended MB warranty is there?
Thanks y'all!

Hi all!
New to Mercedes, I just purchased a CL550 that's out of warranty. What are my best options for a warranty as I understand it not everyone will cover you in that case?
Thanks!

That won't help him. He will need an aftermarket warranty. If the car is out of the original warranty, you can't buy the ELW or the extended CPO warranty. You still have to have some of the original warranty left in order to purchase the MB ELW or CPO warranty.
The aftermarket warranties are typically a waste of money. The prices are typically higher because they offer the dealer a greater commission and they coverage isn't as good. They deny claims or require an inspection before work gets authorized and they may not pay for original MB parts or will deny your claim or limit the amount of coverage or worse case, go out of business. No issues like that with an MB warranty but in his case, he can't get it. Best solution in that case is to find an indy mechanic that can get work done cheaper than the MB dealer. Those warranties only seem to pay off when you get the work done at the dealer, but you're probably better off self insuring when getting it done at an independent mechanic. .

He can decide whether he wants it or not since many people like the piece of mind and knowing that they can take it in and have it fixed without negotiating, shopping around, etc.Originally Posted by cetialpha5

If the MB Extended Warranty is not available contact Mike Jordon at Mossy Motors for a Fidelity Platinum Warranty. Many on the Porsche Forums state he has about the best prices: mjourdan@mossymotors.com
Jeff beat her by $50.

As I posted I talked to both and I have it writing from Jeff, and when I told Cassandra she told me that was a great price and her manager would not let her match it. And I actually found out about Jeff on these forums! For what is it worth I am buying it from Jeff for my new 2020 G550.Originally Posted by Jabraham99
I would find that hard to believe but people can shop both. If you consistently read these threads Cassandra seems to be the gold standard.

Has anyone ever had to use the Endurance warranty either at a MB Dealership or a third party repair facility? What was the outcome if so?Originally Posted by swaynesworld
It doesn’t matter MB or not. As long as where you get your vehicle serviced (MB or et al) honors the warranty. I bought my 2015 S550 4matic (currently at 48K miles) which eliminated me from purchasing a B warranty which is only a marketing scheme to corner the warranty/insurance market. I paid $3,900 for an extended at Endurance (recommended and reputable) and MB honors the warranty. But I’ll use an independent shop for any and all future repairs.
Just talked to Endurance and they do NOT warranty an AMG car.
EasyCare does warranty AMGs. They're really big in the BMW //M community.

Hi all,
It's time to choose an extension warranty for my car.
S550e, 2016, 43.000 miles. The factory warranty ends after 2 months.
I am considering two options:
1. FD warranty PLatinum
72 months/72,000 miles/$8,860 price/$250 deductible
2. Ford PremiumCare
72 months/75,000 miles/$7,690 price/$100 deductible
Does anyone have any experience or information on why Ford's warranty is worse than Fidelity?

Is MB extension out of the picture despite 2 months remaining? Even MB ELW has to cost less than this. Did you ask or try Jeff Jackson? 502 894-6829 Originally Posted by Sordi

You drive under 10,000 miles annually - Bank the $8,000 against possible repairs, don't give it to one of these firms! That's like 20% of the car's value today. You still have powertrain, battery and emissions coverage remaining, do you really anticipate $8000+ in repairs over the next 6 years? How much retail value in warranty work did this car suffer in the first 4 years so far?

Based on my experience with 3rd party aftermarket "warranties", they are really insurance policies, I would NEVER buy another one. I was caught up in the Warranty Gold bankruptcy and had 3 cars with their "warranties". Luckily I was paying monthly by credit card and was able to stop payments. In addition, I participated in a Class Action lawsuit and did recover some of my payments. I also had another one from a company that I don't remember but it was very difficult to get them to pay for anything and the BMW dealer would not deal with them, I had to do everything myself.
Lesson learned, I will only buy from the manufacturer even if it is more expensive. I would call Jeff. He is responsive and very competitive with his pricing. Can be handled over the phone and email with a credit card.

I would totally stick with OEM warranty too, but an additional 3 years/50K miles total isn't that much. These aftermarket companies (assuming you get a good one and not a contract that's nothing but a paperweight) will often provide an *additional* 6, 7, or even 8 years of coverage + mileage. Hence the appeal to me.
Having said that (doesn't help anyone who's a current owner), but Mercedes is now providing extended unlimited mileage warranties on their CPOs. Ie, yes, standard CPO is OEM warranty + 1 year with unlimited mileage coverage. You can add on an additional 2 years with unlimited mileage as well, to get you 3 additional years (still limited) but an unlimited amount of miles to enjoy/drive the car. That's a pretty good deal...

Same here! This is my fifth warranty from Jeff. I appreciate his help and knowledge. I saved $50 on my last one and he answered all my annoying questions. I called him twice and emailed him at least ten questions on the last one and he was polite. He’s extremely respectful and He has never been pushy. He even canceled a warranty for me without any questions. I was caught off guard by that.Originally Posted by Bob Z.

There was even a time I was in a bad spot. The dealer I purchased my car from screwed up the miles. He explained in detail how that can happen and called the dealership for me to get it fixed. Nice guy and I highly recommend.

A bit off topic, but does anyone have any experience comparing the cost of a 3 year extension of the factory warranty vs 2 year extension of the 1 year CPO?

I have used Cassandra Castro who I found on the forum and she has been great for both an ELW's and an after market products. I found her information here and she was highly recommended rightfully so. I know she recently moved dealerships so I said I would put her new information out. She can be reached at ccastro@mbofelmbrook.com or 262-821-5000 ext 331.
Last week I bought my extended warranty for my new 2020 G550 from Jeff, who beat Cassandra's price by $50. I asked her to match or beat it and she said she could not so I got the same product and a free dinner for us!

Bob it seems like every time someone says anything about anyone other than Jeff you always make this reply. It almost seems like you are really Jeff. I don't think your continued posts are appropriate and I am going to report you because it seems fishy to me.
