Good little reference manuals there.

When you heat this product up it becomes stretchy so you can form it to the door structure and stretch it if needed, when it cools off it becomes rigid.
The opening will also be covered up with a piece of same product, so if I need to an any time, I can remove it and then place it back.

I hope these pictures help "a little" anyone that wants to do similar swap. Basically you have to unwrap CLS63 seat wiring and track it back from the plugs to the seat motors.
FYI: the extra seat features on CLS seat do not work, just the seat motor controls.

No, C55 cluster will not fit G500 dash housing.
The glass on C55 cluster protrudes more out, G500 cluster is more shallow.
I think Ill end up buying a new G55 cluster.... thats what im leaning towards...
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I do have a C55 cluster and I will try to swap out the housing (it will involve cutting them both and joining them together. If I fail in the housing swap, I will purchase a new one....

Seems like everything is working.
When you turn the ignition on, odometer shows XXXXXX milage, but then later it shows milage that was last recorded on the cluster.
I cannot remember where, but there was a lengthy discussion about face-lifting the C class in general (older clusters like ours, to the newer one we want), it shouldn't be too hard to find. The synopsis is that they utilize a different fuel level sensor than the previous models or it's wired differently. There are other mods required to make it read the fuel level. I decided to bite the bullet and buy a C55 cluster for $50 - why not? Anyways, I was able to get everything working, including mileage (I used the mercteil adapter for mileage and data), but the fuel gauge read empty.
I decided it wasn't worth actually rewiring the fuel level sensor, so I just purchased a standard 08 G cluster from MB and I'm as happy as I can be with it. I didn't want to put in an AMG. I have 2 G's one G55 and one G500 - so I'm not missing the "AMG" life lol. That being said, it would 100% work with an AMG cluster, new or used. In fact, preferably you would purchase a used one as the converter actually requires the cluster to be programmed to a (as in ANY, not your specific) vehicle prior to installation.

Its not plug and play, I had to ship it out to Russia and they modified the electronics, the shaft opening, including adaptor that covers the gap between the steering wheel and steering column.

I think the actual steering wheel is from W205 (with black buttons) and airbag is from W217 (leather wrapped)
