that is some bullpoop.

But essentially you have to take the entire door panel off with trim tools and disconnect all the wires.

Haven't done it on a GLC yet but on a 205 or 213 you have to remove the door card, then the carrier plate that holds everything, then the handle and latch assembly, then you can replace the LED light. Horrible design. Also, once you replace one, they often don't match in color to the others, so you end up changing all 4 to make them look the same.

It should be covered under warranty. LED technology should last thousands upon thousands of on/off operation. There is no excuse for no warranty coverage.

Well I would have thought that the fact that the warranty period has expired is a fair enough excuse!

I am now on my 3rd failed light in exterior of door handles.
Anyone else have this issue or am I just unlucky?

I'm inclined to agree with you....and in the last hour I have noticed that the 'eyebrow ' light along with the tail light on the right hand side have switched themselves on while the car is parked!
Now need to search for this issue and see if a solution has been found! !

We had some early GLC's that did that, it was some sort of software issue in the controller IIRC, but take it to the dealer. Not really a DIY fix.
