C32 vs 335 JB3

Okay, we both have boost leaks and before starting a heated debate, keep in mind that both runs are just for *****s and giggles.

I was expecting 335 to rape the C, even with the boost leak.

335 started off on 3lbs over stock and I pulled him easily, then 335 switched the tune to 5lbs over boost and that's when I started recording.

Made in Mexico on a private driveway.

kindafast:

nice run. you need to get a tune though. it is not only recommended, but it is actually UNSAFE for you to have a 185 without a tune.

jb3s are fast. running 5psi more than stock doesnt sound like a boost leak and sounds like he may only be hitting that on 100 octane. was he running a DP, FMIC, intake, or race gas? or was everything else stock?

I think that's it. Maybe some minor exhaust mod, cause it sounds louder.

I'm saving up to get it dyno tuned with Jerry.

Get that checked out, not alot of boost on these N54 engines, so a small one can cause alot of power loss. Also misfiring might mean you need new spark plugs. A member gained 25WHP fromswapping out his plugs!! GL. Get it worked out and get another run done

Hey listen.. I know the potential a 335i with JB3 has. I just wanna see how close bc CLS 55's and E55's i can keep up with no sweat. We will do a few trials.. 0-60, 40 roll and 100 roll with and without NOS.. Like this we see what these cars can do in different ranges. Last year in E-Town i did the 1/4 in 12.8 @ 106.2mph.. This is all out of fun...

bone stock except for a tune? ha....i love this comment. and i am by no means hating. i love the N54 motor. its just it sounds like you are saying that all you had was a little tune (making it sound like a small little mod when in reality its not) the tune is all you need for that car for now, unless you want to dish out money for dp, fmic, intake, and dvs, and possilby meth.....here is a JB3 dyno on pump for everyone who doesnt know what a JB3 is:

it is fast, but is also experiencing boost problems apparently. he is running the largest available pulley without a tune which is considered dangerous. not only missing a ton of power, but actually hurting his car potentially (according to LET/eurocharged)

you ran those times and beat CLS55s and E55s with your current mods? i dont think so.....unless this was done before with different mods. E55s and CLS55s trap at least 115 and you know that...

really? wow.....i cannot wait till i get one lol. it will happen. JB3, dp, fmic, intake, diverter valve....just undecided on the manual (more fun. can handle more power) vs steptronic (i hear they shift faster but cant handle the tq as well but for some reason terry hasnt had problems last time i checked)....and whether i want sedan or coupe....b/c i like both for different reasons haha. and obviously oil cooler required.

just update me......are all mods invisible now (outside of physically noticing say a FMIC or intake or DP)? i mean i'm assuming that the juiceboxes and procedes and xedes or w/e the other ones are called have become invisible to BMW and can hide the presence of a DP and such when the ECU is scanned?

Yeah the numbers I have been seeing for the 335i with JB3 is about 380 hp at the wheels. Not too shabby.
