horn will not stop blowing

horn will not stop blowing
2005 S320 horn will not stop blowing, took off the relay just to stop it from honking, any idea or experience to share?

did it just happen out of the blue or did you hit the horn and it stayed on?
I remember I was in New York a few years back inside a bakery and looked outside to see why someone was laying on their horn. Saw a guy banging on his steering wheel trying to unstick the horn. haha

Hi, I am Neo from Malaysia. I have a similar problem with my year 2004 W220 S280 and hope can get some help here.
When I hit the horn while driving the horn will just stay on. I have to switch off the engine to stop the horn. Everything is fine after turning off and on the engine until I hit the horn again.
This does not happen if I just put the key in the ignition switch, without turning on the engine.
Any idea what could cause this? Some said it could be due to a faulty SAM...

Your horn is controlled with a relay and if you have a sticky relay contact then your horn will be stuck on. Check if water got into the fuse box, it may carry enough current to keep the relay latched.

How often does it happen? I only had it happen to me once, and disconnecting and reconnecting the battery solved it. Haven't had that issue for 9 months since it happened so I'm guessing my case was a fluke.
