How Do I Make My S55 AMG Faster ?

I just purchased a 2003 S55 AMG. It has only 11,000 miles. What is the best way to make it even faster. What is most cost effective way as well. I am dying to race my brothere SL55..LOL
Any suggestions? Also where to go in Southern California for such work. Anyone have actual test results after mod's?
Thank you in advance.

PS I have a VERY clean 2000 S500 with ONLY 28,000 miles for sale....

Congratulations on your purchase.

Between the S55 and the SL55, I'm inclined to think the S55 would win. Just my hunch, though.

Good luck with the sale!

I think they best way to look into the mods is to do alot of searching around the forum. Use keywords like Renntech and Kleeman and you will find a wealth of info from the AMG community.

Enjoy your S55!!

Kleemann Rules. Take a look at these figures. Your engine is similar to my SL55 engine. You can ecspect the same amount of power & torque.

Go see Vince (Shop Forman) at MB of Long Beach...he is a real gear head and know the aftermarket kits well....and they can install it there.

I have both. When the SL was stock it would blow the doors off of the S. The gearing on the SL is lower and therefore is better accelerating from a standstill. I now have several RennTech mods on the SL and there is no comparison.

SL55 is faster! Maybe if you throw the entire interior out, sperwheel, and every overdone weight and you don't have to modify you're engine!
