I think the Seats and Radio info is stored permanently in its own memory.

My seats and Radio didn't reset, just my windows and sunroof

The Battery Reset altered the Throttle Sensor too, its as if I had a SprintBooster.

Also after my battery reset its been costing me $4 to get to work in gas money before it was $7-8 and I've been driving it much harder too

Maybe I'm missing something, but I've tried the "Sneaky Reset" several ways and I do not see any change in the adaptation values whatsoever. I've checked the adaptation values with STAR DAS before and after and I can confirm that the only way I am able to reset the adaptions is through STAR DAS. That said, when a DAS transmission adaption reset is accomplished, the degree of improvement will vary depending on the values of the adaptions prior to reset. The improvement can be quite astounding.

It most definitely works, at least on my W203 - no bull - the difference is AMAZING!

Huge props to the person who found this and posted it on the forum.

You gotta love MBWorld.

P.S. Does anyone know if this is okay to do often? Cuz after reading up in this thread, seems the lag comes back after city driving.

As many times as you want. It simply resets the memory. Supposedly it takes 40 shiftings before your personal driving style is used by the TCU!

Anyone know if there is a ECU reset for the W212 and how to do it?

Seems that the reset for the W211 doesn't work for the W212.

So is the sneaky ecu reset and the 722 reset different? Should you perform both or one or the other?

Ive read somewhere the ecu reset also recalibrates the throttle pedal ... suppose there is no way to tell.

All I know is when I unplugged the battery for 3 days, the car was much more of a beast around town, like, traction light coming on in 60 degree weather in 2nd gear, at 30, with just 3/4 throttle.

And Ive done this sneaky ecu reset the way posted here and it never felt like that.

Seems like this is for throttle body alignment.

The reset on the e46 M3 SMG is applied differently. However I do know how to reset it if the SMG is acting slow and sluggish. They recommend this once every three months.

You need to be driving about 60-70 km/h put the SMG in Neutral, then pull both of the steering wheel paddles towards you for 5 seconds, let go of the paddles and then put the SMG back in Drive mode. I recommend getting upto 70 km/h and then putting the reset through as you would probably drop to 65 km/h by the time you do the reset.

After the reset the gears should feel much smoother, quicker and more responsive.

This is amazing!!!! Night and day difference, the car hooks and goes with little effort to the gas pedal. Love my E55 even more now!
