Any chance of getting one by Jan.6th as my car is going to be in a booth at the CES Convention in Vegas!
I would love to open the hood and show the CF Off!!

I would vouch not to even put 1 mile on it....would simply bolt on to the existing lower airbox to show-off...would go well with the Carbon-Fiber interior! What-ever you can do - would be appreciated !! Thanks

My car is being featured at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, so I think I should be given first consideration to display the new intake.
Yeah, Ken's a good guy but don't believe for a minute that he will treat your intake with TLC.

Keep in mind this is a pre-production unit that is for fitment only.. The actual run will result in even HIGHER quality.
Here are some key points:
1. High gloss finish looks nicer than the competitive piece
2. Monocoque construction (this makes it both stronger and more attractive).. This is 100% Carbon Fiber guys!! There is a heat resistant material impregnated inbetween the layers of CF.
3. This box has a very smooth inlet path and the largest volume possible given the constraints of the engine firewall, engine components, and hood that dictate the overall shape and size of the airbox.
4. VERY VERY light. Everything on this airbox is made from CF. If you look at the underside picture, you will notice that the airbox covers are all solid CF.. They did not hack up a stock airbox lid and put the CF overtop it.. It is a solid 1 piece design.
5. Breather spigot is made out of aluminum instead of the plastic I have seen on the competitive pieces.
6. It will work with both 80mm TB and stock 74mm TB which means you can grow into the upgrades and not have to scrap the box.
Oh.. And best of all... At $1,600 w/my custom foam filters this thing blows away the competitive products for $3,900 that are out there.. I know it's hard to appreciate everything from looking at a picture, but, I guarantee you these look 1000% better in person.

Thanks everyone!!! I worked hard to make this the best product it can possibly be.. everything that we could think of (the airflow engineers, the CF guys and I) went into building this product. Hopefully the fitment testing will go perfectly and we can start the mass production runs right away..
One small thing I forgot to mention is that this will fit on ALL 55K cars!!! S55, E55, CLS55, SL55, CL55... It was made and measured to fit all the engine bays.

Kens-E55: I am going to try to work something out so that I can send you my airbox to put on your car and you can have it displayed at the show.. Maybe that will help drum up sales. At the same time, you can test it on your car and see if you can increase that trap speed of yours.. Not 100% confirmed yet, but I am going to try my best to make it happen. Just remember, it's a LOANER and has to be returned.. LOL..

Hmmmmm, looks great! May have to pull out the CC and order one. I just ordered alottttttttt of other stuff so i'm kinda broke right now (Eisenmann race exhaust, DPE sig. series S20 wheels, Carlsson racing seats, Carlsson Rs bumper, etc etc).
