PTE Thermostat Group Buy/s
ok guys. just spoke with Patrick of PTE. I figured I would make a new thread because of the length of the one he started, and the unlikelihood that people will notice the post i made regarding the prices I was told.

he layed out the pricing to me
Group Buy:

$156.00 ( Normal priced at $180.00) for a V-8 Kompressor
$100.00 ( Normally $140.00) for a V-6 Kompressor

as far as purchasing one, email him if you are interested at tynerfla@bellsouth.net. once he has finished make each set of group buys (i think he said 10 per), he will contact you. this is how he makes each "list" for the group buys.

...and i am in NO WAY affiliated or associated with PTE. just relaying information and making it easier for members to see the pricing information i was given.

Do you know what a thermostat does on a car? This just lowers temperature of the opening threshold.

To be honest I don't know where the thermostat housing is on the E55 as I haven't looked for it, but it's a relatively easy install on Chevy OHV engines. It does require bleeding of the coolant system though.

just follow the hose from the radiator ...

Just to confirm: the only individual pieces shipped are the thermostat (aluminum tube) and a rubber O-ring around the larger end. Correct?
