Awesome thread, can someone list all the components needed to get this program to work?

1) program
2) cable
3) laptop

Is that it? Also who is selling the program?

I think he means the fogs will work like the new cars do. The fogs don't actually turn.

They are connected to the steering sensor. When you are turning left, the left fog light will come on...etc.

At least i am assuming that's what he means.

Yeah, I saw that question, but I was referring to the other post that asked if there was a way to have both fogs turn on with the headlamps in the auto position. That way you would never have to touch the headlamp switch. Would be nice if there was some hidden option to turn this on.

Lowered a members E63 amongst a few other options. Found and activated a sunroof memory function. Essentially once you open your sunroof and leave it at a spot for a few seconds, the next time you auto open, it will move to that position and stay. Pretty cool. Will check my E55 to see if it's in there also, just do not use my sunroof often.

From memory.
control units/body/overhead control/pano/adaptions

Also interesting was the fact that there was an auto close function for the pano roof listed in the menu, yet even enabled could not get it to auto close. From what I understand these cars do not have a pinch strip so auto close was not an option, yet in STAR under pano roof, it's there......

Hey STAR gurus. We have adjusted my 07 e63 a few times with STAR without issue. We went for a third time to even it up and now it won't retain the settings. It isn't particularly low and the STAR system says that the settings were succuessfully saved. However, after making adjustments via the raise/suspension buttons, the car lowers back down to a point significantly lower than where we had it set. Any ideas? Thanks. RT

depending on what height I am calibrating for. At my current setup, I have to program the front to sit .25" higher than intended and the rear at .5" higher than intended because it lowers by that much after I use the raise button or if I shut the car off and turn it back on.

Quote: So I thought I would help out a few MB brothers with a couple star diagnostic tutorials...

First, Lowering the car.
Get to the 211 Section

You will get to the main menu

Then go to Func perf by more than...

Then Chassis

Then Level adj

Then Suspension

And here is where people have problems, they just go to actuations and then lower it, IT WILL NOT STAY LOWERED this way, you have to go to initial startup

Then Initial with manual settings

Then F2

Here you will see a screen that shows the voltages which correspond to the height of the vehicle. they must be within the given ranges in the left hand column. use the + and - buttons to lower the car (In my screenshot I am in the car with a friend in the back seat, so that is why it is at 3.27, it should not exceed 3) Then hit F2

Enter in these inclination angles and if the car is within the voltages supplied in the page before, the car will accept the new lowered setting, if not it will reject it.

Now, how to activate the unlock and lock beep (honestly, one of the best mods to do if you have an older model e55 )
First Control units

Then Body

Then rear SAM

Then Control unit adaptations

Then national version of ATA function

At this screen you will see a pull down menu with a list of different regions on it. The only ones you need to worry about are USA with buzzer and Netherlands. If you choose USA, i will give you three short quick beeps when you lock the car and one short when you unlock it. Netherlands will give you three longer beeps when you lock the car and one long when you unlock it. Personal preference on which one you like. Then hit F3

Then F3(YES)

Hope this helps out some people. I really did not find a good DIY for Star Diagnostics, so I thought I would help out!

Thanks
Aleks

EDIT: Info for -10 Mod added
Alek: Do you know how much dealerships usually charge for this lowering?

Did you really have to quote the whole thing?

If you read, you'll see how much dealers charge on average for it.

I admit that was pretty stupid!

My MB mechanic is going to do it for a bottle of JW Blue....

The sunroof memory is an annoying feature - I would not recommend you turn that on. It pretty much kills the one touch open feature - prevents the roof from opening all the way.

And you are correct, there is no way to enable the pano auto rain close.

One thing I haven't tried yet is to set it to ROW to get the pano roof auto rain function to work.

I don't think that will work either because you have to have the CGW in RoW to get the rain close feature to appear in the UCP.

Hi all. Maybe someone can help me. I am from Germany so my English is not so good.
Have the following problem:
When I go to my Star Diagnosis on ECU diagnostic 2.8ME Drive Motor Controller Implicit coding, I'm only in 0224 several 250 km / h versions to choose from, but it should also be other possibilities exist. It's all coded in RDW.
Star Diagnosis Version 11/2011
Is there a solution?
