there are two kinds of euro COMANDs; one that supports TV tuner & RES option and one that doesn't...
u can buy from classifieds or from MBenzNL...
since u have factory COMAND, it will be direct swap...
installing NTG2.5 on 211 that came with factory COMAND is PITA...
I removed:
- Comand
- Denison Gateway 500
- BT Puck and tail
- CD Changer under the comand
- Nav Processor/DVD Drive in trunk
- Sat radio Box
- Audio Gateway
- Telematics box that wasn't doing anything anyway since it's the old cellular one
I Installed
- Comand NTG 2.5 w/6Disc DVD changer, BT, Linguatronic
- Linguatronic function lever
- MHI (Ipod/media adapter)
- HD Radio/Sat Radio/Live traffic receiver
- HK Amp
- Sub Amp
- Conversion wiring harness with Microphone cable
Total install time taking my time was 10 hours but i really could have done it in 6. The most time consuming was running the wiring harness since you need to access the left cable duct. other wise with the conversion harness it's a plug and play install.
