Anyone know a good way to beat a speeding ticket??
Now, HONESTLY, I thought I was going with the flow of traffic. He got me on Ladar doing 84mph in a 65mph. Does anyone here know a good tactic to delay/stall/beat this ticket? Is it even possible if they got me with the gun?
On a side note, he explained the ladar is a laser radar. Is there a detector out there that is up on game on the latest detection tools?
B. When you get that date assigned letter ask for a delay.
C. Subpoena the officer it is your right.
D. appear on the second date they set.
E. Most of the time the officer will not appear, case dismissed.
F.If he does appear you are no worse off pay the fine and move on more slowly.
G. In Ca they may offer traffic school and a reduced fine if it is your first ticket.
See if that option appeals to you.
I had an old version of the book, which advised using the delay strategy described above, but of course it went into greater detail on how to prepare, fallback strategies, etc. Well worth the price, and I used it to take care of a few of my own tickets when I lived in CA.

I've had 4 Valentine 1's, 2 Escort 9500i, and 1 9500ix. Not going to mention a dozen other detectors.
Nothing helps againist that Lidar. My 2nd to last ticket was LIDAR in a 35zone! I was just "cruising" in the Evo and felt it was an insult to get busted for 54, the road was huge.
Good luck. Some interesting advice in this thread. I wonder how that stuff varies by state.
As to the question at hand, while things vary greatly by state (and even by county, sometimes), I usually just hire a good lawyer who has "connections" locally to whereever the ticket was recieved. Usually costs $100 to $200. Its what I always do (and suggest to other clients of mine), and tickest most times get "resolved" to my liking.

Where would one find these lawyers? Last one I've heard of from a friend had a fee of $500 which is worth it usually.

i agree. But if you do have the time to go to court and fight it, 9/10 times the judge will be lenient based on your explanation. Usually its just court costs and ticket dismissed.
