Lastly why is weistec mis-adverting this new blower to be 3.0
If I'm incorrect please forgive my ignorance, I'm confused to this blowers actual size & fact others are comparing huge gains seen when using OTHER AFTERMARKET much larger 3.4 liter blowers or to the C63 built 6.2 liter engine w/2.9 Weistec that nets 800+ rwp
Just curious no attacks intended, I'd love to see @ least 700 rwhp on full bolt-on 5.4 E55 but it appears that's not happening on STOCK BLOCK, & more realistic 600 rwhp will be norm on reg full bolt-on E55k

My car has been down with a seized supercharger since June. Can't wait to get it back on the road.

The quick thumbnail, I did the EC stage 3, MBH headers and mid pipe, EC 82mm throttle valve and so on.
I have pretty much have had trouble with EVERYTHING. Headers weren't made right, had to fix that. The mid pipe does not fit the resonator at all. Modified it three times now, still have one side that does not seal and flops around. I need to get back in there and solve that problem.
The calibration was problematic. Way to pig rich with the larger injectors. Jerry took several stabs at getting it right and finally seemed to nail it with a nice 11:1 AFR. Ran great, but,,, Would get odd sudden lean outs in boost. Would be fine and powerful then suddenly go very lean in boost. If I did not have a wideband on it, never would of known and likely would of popped the engine. Kept getting those odd rear O2 codes. I think they are somehow related as the codes would come up right when the sudden unexpected lean out problem would start occurring. Was really looking for help and then "J" stopped returning my calls. Seemed I was on my own.
Reached out to other tuners for help. Wiestec helped me out with a calibration that seemed to solve the issues and ran much stronger.
Took the car to VIR for a road race event. I was crushing Corvettes, GT-Rs, Mustangs, and ran an S2000 right off the track. The E55 was amazing. Then the supercharger seized up. Guess it did not like that 180mm crank pulley. Took the belt off and milked it home and it has been sitting ever since.
I am really looking forward to driving the car again.

Here is the deal. Whipple used to get their rotor assemblies from Lysholm. Later they wanted to start making their own to reduce costs. Lysholm either sued them or threatened to for patent violations and breach of contract. This ended up in an agreement where Whipple could produce their own under license but they were restricted as to what size units they could make. So the advertised displacement game started.
Later Lysholm was bought by I think Paxton with plans to move production to the US. I spoke to a Paxton rep and he told me that they planned to go after Whipple and try to make them buy Lysholm units or shut them down. I guess it did not work. I spoke to the Whipple guys and they are pretty confident that the patents have expired and they are no longer bound by any contracts and they can move forward. If you have noticed several other manufacturers have popped up all over making a copy of the Lyshlom or a slightly modified version.
I recently designed a supercharger kit using a 2.3L Whipple unit and asked one of my designers that has a close relationsionship with Whipple about Weistec and what rotor assemblies they were using. For the 6.3 liter engine kits they were using "left over Lysholm units". Not sure if that is still the case or what rotor assemblies they are using now.
So, when you start comparing a 2.9 Whipple to a 3.0 Lysholm I will bet if you really dig into them you may find they are close to identical.

Also assume you are taking the 180 pulley off and putting a stock one one? Or can you use that one instead of changing the supercharger pulley to something else for the higher boost they ran with throttle body and headers/exhaust?

To be honest, that might be to much for me, we will see. Might need to dial that back a bit. Don't want to put the car into the bushes.
Planning on getting a new set of rear brakes and tires already. I burned off the rear brakes at the VIR event. The traction control was going nuts all the time and I kept getting the ABS over temp warnings.
Recommendations on tires, like fat one that will fit on the stock wheels?

And what are you doing about your crank pulley, gonna run it with Weistec's larger lowest boost supercharger pulley?
Please tell me you plan on dynoing the car right away too! Gotta see what it does on 93 octane with the different tuning. And what boost will you be running?
