Square setup on wheels?

Is anyone on here running 4 rear wheels on their E55? I was thinking 275/35/18 all the way around would work on the E55. The wells in the front look like they can accommodate that. Also if you are running or know of someone running that setup please post up and share.

Regards

Amir

This place is a joke.
I am working on something similar. The rear wheels fit fine up front with the 265/35/18. You could even fit a 275 I think depending on the brand of tire. I am going to run the 9" replicas up front and custom widened 10" replicas in the rear.

So i got a set of SL55 rear wheels and put my factory rear wheels on the front. 275/35/18 all the way around. It looks beastly and drives awesome. Car feels heavier but it has a lot more tire under neath it and feels solid as all hell!

Looks good, do you realize the sl wheels are 1/2 wider? Where did you find the sl wheels? Saw some on ebay but they wanted $$$ too much.

Can you run a 275 tire on the E55 rear ? All stock ride height, stock suspension etc.

Mine are the factory 265s, want to run a slightly wider tire in rear. 285 would probably rub, I'd think..? 275 would be best bet, no?

Yes, 275/35 are no problem on the factory rear wheels. No scrubbing when extremely slammed either

Thanks guys.
CharlyE500 - are you on stock suspension, ride height etc. all stock? I would LOVE to run 285s in the rear on stock wheels, but I'm afraid of rubbing. You don't get any rubbing at all, even on turns and looping on ramps?

OP - sorry for thread hijack, man..

Sorry I wasn't clear enough on this. What I mean is the SL rear wheels are 9.5" vs the E55 rear @ 9" This means you don't have a square setup, but more to my point, although you are running the same size tires all the way around, your rear tires are more stretched on the rims now than the fronts, and makes the rear tires look smaller than the fronts.

That won't help..the CLS rears are also 9.5, same as SL but different offset (they stick out further) You need 2 more E55 rears.

Or just run a slightly bigger tire on the rear maybe a 285/35

I would rather run CLS rears all the way around.
