Yes, had mine for two weeks now. No report as to when the car is going to be ready but would have been nice if MBUSA planned for this repair by bolstering their inventory levels knowing the demand would be high. I think getting a loaner will vary from dealer to dealer or even at the SA level.

Dealership just called and said mercedes informed them only 2008 models have extended gas tank. They also said my VIN was not in their VMI system.

I took off my seat and saw a small pool of fuel by connector would they consider this under the warrenty?
It only sometimes smells like fuel when it's full not all the time
I sucked out most of it with a turkey baster before I took the pic lol

Don't bother with Mercedes of SF. My buddy has his car there and they are so confused about what is covered and what is not. He even sent them the Mercedes service bulletin that explicitly shows that if VMI lists "gas tank" for a car, and there is fuel smell, then the dealer is to replace everything under warranty (tank, sender, pump).
Go elsewhere if in SF.

My dealer is telling me the same thing that thay are not covering the repair of my failed gaskets by the warrenty because the tank itself is not failed in my car. Emailed the MBUSA today because the costomer service by phone is not available today because of the storm....

It has a workflow guide, so even a 3rd grader can understand. Send them that exact pdf, and tell to them refer to their own version given to them by Mercedes.
1. Does VMI list "fuel tank"? -- YES
2. Is there fuel leak/odor? -- YES
PROCEED TO GO, REPLACE ENTIRE TANK/SENDER/PUMP UNDER WARRANTY
It cannot be any more clear than that. It's their own bulletins STRAIGHT FROM MERCEDES THEMSELVES.
Tomorrow I'm calling other nearby dealers, and I'm having my E55 town to the first dealer that can confirm they understand 3rd grade logic.

Yep we all think it can't be more clear But guess what, I did show them the the bulletin and they sent back another bulletin quoting part of it saying the tank is repaired by the whole part so failed gaskets won't be covered. Their under-third-grade-logic behavior is mocking and embarrassing themselves so I am waiting for MBUSA to call back.

Is this under any manufacturer recall or is this considered something else? I Called my local MB Dealer and they told me they have not heard of anything related to this issue. Could my Pump have been replaced maybe by previous owner 3 yrs ago on a recall?.
P.S I have called 2 diffrent dealers and neither one has heard or got any type of info or bulletin on this issue and last shows any recalls for the e55 models from 2003 to 2008 have been closed.

just stopped by my dealer car is almost done.... should be done by today he was just filling my tank up and checking for leaks or anything...
my tank wasnt leaking but i got a new one anyways, new pumps hoses everything even had him re-torque my header bolts lol
here is my tank
the seal ripped both sides and one side was just developing a leak but hadn't started yet

thanks man, well for me it took longer because they send my tech two of the left side sending units and no left so he had to wait to get that too and everything else looks beautiful
