But then $1,000 for vents seem to have no real added value. just my 2 cents.

What do you use for a tire bump stop?

Let me know what you find on the rotating ones.

ALSO

How come the E53 had the nice turbo vents, and our E63 has the lame normal horizontal slots? Are yours horizontal too? It's like it's backwards.

I think the factory is just emptying random parts bins to build cars. lol.
The online configurator does show the interior of the vehicle so the vents shouldn't have come as surprise. No 3D sound system in the wagon due to low volume of production as the sound equalization is set by the interior. I had the 3D system in my sedan and it did have better acoustics, but the bass unit and amplifier ate up significant trunk space and I had to go to WeatherTec for the cargo mat. As I've previously posted, the wagon is a unique beast. Just take the time to appreciate the package and enjoy your ownership.

All 213 coupes/cabriolets - AMG or otherwise - got the turbine vents. All sedans/wagons got the slotted.

Yeah my E63s sedan has the slotted vents too. That is weird!

In my E53 they weren't the 3D Burmeister tweeters, they didn't have the circle that pops out. They were just like the mids but as tweeters. I didn't have the 3D surround in that car. Odd. My tweeters look exactly like yours. I also think that instead of putting in the "non-3D" Burmeister tweeters, the parts shortage they're using some other brand or some kind of generics, but I immediately noticed a difference.

Anyway not a huge deal, but I will look into it more.

I don't like the install. Mercedes has enough trouble with squeaks and rattles from the factory, I'm not having the dash ripped apart for no reason!!!

Hopefully, you'll get accustomed to the feel. These are impeccable highway cruisers. If your use case is lots of highway driving you won't be disappointed. Torture keeping under 90MPH though. If only we lived close to the autobahn.

These cars offer a great all-around user experience. Whether you keep it forever or just a short time you'll never be sorry to have owned one. They have character (although Mercedes strips more and more away with each iteration) and are quite memorable.
Oh I'm very happy! Just nit picking answering the "what don't you like" questions.

The other thing I'm getting used to is no one-push on the seat for a massage anymore.

Things I like:

I can hear the turbos and it's stock. On my old car I had to get downpipes and Black Boost intakes to hear the turbos.
The interior is really very nice. My W212 is looking dated.
Augmented Nav is ridiculously easier to follow. Don't have to concentrate at all.
HUD. I didn't care about Heads Up but already used to it and can adjust my steering wheel to be comfortable without either compromising or having to look above/below it to see speed and other things. This is a very nice feature that really surprised me.
Sound. Stock to stock this sounds better. The pops aren't as harsh and bratty as they were on YouTubes. The sound is great.
Thumbs ups. I seem to be getting more thumbs ups.

consider you are lucky that you have it now ... most if not all the 2021 had this deleted due to pandemic chip supply chain issue.

While not one-touch, you can get close: add a Favourite for driver's seat massage, and make it the first (leftmost) favourite. Then all you need to do is press the Star/Favorites button on the steering wheel, then the "Blackberry" button and you're like Homer in the Spinemelter 2000:

Ivan MacKenzie.

I just say Hey Mercedes or tap the voice assistance button on the steering wheel and just say "turn on the massage seat." For example, when I'm doing a drive longer than 30min, I will use the voice assistant and consecutively turn on the following: turn on the massage seat, turn on seat kinetics, turn on the air freshener. Btw, long pressing the voice assistance button on the steering wheel will bring up Siri/Google Assistants, while a short tap brings up Mercedes Assistant. Another thing I use voice assistance is turning off HUD at night because I find it a little distracting when driving locally since by default I have it on the brightest setting, I simply say turn off heads up display.

My thoughts exactly about HUD. Never had it before and thought it was just a gimmick. After using it a while I'm addicted. One thing I can say for certain - my next vehicle will have HUD. There is one drawback. Most sunglasses are polarized which dims the HUD to almost unviewable. There are non polarized sunglasses though.

MB finally took away ability to configure E63 wagon on US website. It should've never existed in the first place.

Everytime I drive our 2014 E350 wagon, I get angry at Mercedes for making the W213 SUV-like. Feels so nimble and simple to drive in comparison. And it's nice to see over the hood.

Don't get me wrong, the W213 is a better all-a rounder but the W212 is the superior driver's car.

Wait... I thought there is a physical button for the HUD, unless they removed that?

I love how they wrapped the oversized front Mercedes star. Darkening the chrome circle really makes it less obnoxious. Also, the wrap over the chrome door handles and rear strip are nice touches.

Usually wrap looks tacky to me but this place did a fantastic job on Archie's E63. (Unfinished door jambs would drive me mad though.) Superb color selection.

Not any more. It's selected in the the screen configuration menu. There are a whole lot of options that can be selected for the 3 channels.

So, he didn't like silver, wrapped the car in what looks like Graphite Grey magno, and then he's going to lower the car and other things. Some people have too much money and time on their hands.

Saw this on the web tonight. I think it punches all the requirements.

Yes they removed the whole row of buttons above the headlight switches. They're now all software buttons on the center screen,

Yep.
I still haven’t listed my W212. It’s just so different.
I read the differences but now experiencing it - it’s really making me think… my wife drove today “you’re right - it’s like driving a GL”

I hope I get used to it. Right now it’s definitely not as fun.

Was the bumpy harsh pre-facelift better or just bumpy?

More shockers for me lol
No jack? No spare? No wrench even?
No trunk rails, cargo bars, etc?!
Is there a sub woofer?

All things I “knew” but now it’s hitting me 😂
