2023 e63s wagon

"The market adjustment is 100k over the MSRP which is 177k. I can tell you that we are willing to work to make a deal but you give me a counter and I can see if my manager is willing to entertain."

Hey Mercedes; manufactured scarcity only works if you're still manufacturing the thing everybody's trying to buy.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
1. Have you ever taken an E63 Wagon to car show? It generates a TON of goodwill towards the brand. People love that car even if they aren't a buyer. Those cars in the industry are considered flagships and a draw. Personally that's the car that made me a Mercedes guy. It's the car that showed me the company had a sense of humor and knew how to build fun cars. I have 3 MB wagons and an S650 Maybach now because of the E63 wagon.
2. If they're custom fab only, why not continue to make them? Raise the price if they want but the R&D and tool and die making are done. A majority of the parts are off the shelf. The engine is still being produced. They're not making enough of them to effect their CAFE rating. Killing the V8 wagon is, was and will forever be a bad idea. Worse yet, I'm told they're not even killing it for a good reason beyond politics which I consider an unforgivable sin.
Not being able to order one this year has put me off to the brand. I'm looking to buy another car and right now I'm so irked by MB over this I'm shopping for everything BUT a Merc.

Yup I guess they don't say it is for the richest Mercedes customers for no reason:

First link: "Mercedes says that, in the U.S., the E-class-wagon owner has among the highest average household income of all its customers, rivaled only by that of G-wagen buyers. "
Second link: "What are the demographics of the E-Class wagon buyer? It's definitely one of our wealthiest demographics. Compared to the E-Class sedan, which is about $200,000 median household income, the E-Class wagon is about $375,000. Some of these buyers grew up in an E-Class wagon and feel nostalgic. They value it for their children, wanting their kids to be in the same car that they were in."

When you do decide to make the horrible, horrible decision to sell your E63S, send me a PM, I'm interested.
Not selling a wagon is also guaranteeing I don't buy any more Mercedes products.
Enjoy your lithium fire!

THIS. The kinds of cars that were interesting to me are all being taken off the table.

And not be argumentative but that's like saying "The vast majority of US buyers want SUV's, not AMG GTs!". Personally I want an SUV about as much as I want cancer. Anyone buying an AMG wagon isn't taking away an SUV sale. That said, I'd take a wagon over a sedan any day of the week.

As for the AMG EQE SUV - you're going to get out of an awesome car you just drove for free for 3 years and into an expensive golf cart that's going to depreciate faster than a chick who just turned 30?
