2019 E63S Dyno Comp Tune

Here are the stock dragy numbers while the car was completely stock on Arizona craptastic 91 octane fuel and complete garabage DA. From the numbers posted by other members, I think she did okay considering fuel and DA. The zero to sixty was slower than I thought it would be. Car has newer Michelin Pilot Cup 4's. I had them square at 36 psi. Is there a sweet spot for these cars? Car did spin a little, but that is to be expected. Still pulled a 1.75 sixty foot. Road was pretty crappy, but that is exactly what I want. If it runs good on a crap road, it will only do better (in theory) on a good road. Quarter mile was right where I thought it would be. The 60 mph to 130 mph really surprised me. Is a 10.07 slow for a stock set up?

I then took the car to the same road and ran the dragy tests again. 0 to 60 mph dropped, but it did feel like it spun harder. 60 foot was quicker to a 1.73, quarter mile was .3 tenths faster, and MPH was up almost 4 mph. I feel it is really limited by the CPC. If I could get the car to launch better on the 4's I am sure it will run a 10.9x as it sits. Car really picked up in the 60 to 130, dropped almost 1.1 seconds.
Not to shabby I think. However, here is some bonus data. I drove it to The High Desert in Southern California. I did some dragy tests out there as well. Temp was 13 degrees colder, altitude was double, and the DA was 700 feet worse.
0 to 60 was 3.29 just a tick slower. Quarter Mile slowed from 11.09 to 11.15, but MPH was up a whole number to 125.5. Might be a really good bracket car in the future. 60 to 130 she really shined...down .32 tenths to a 8.68!

I should have the new CPC installed today or tomorrow. I think I need to drive it around for awhile for the adaptive modules to learn. Then I will head back to the test street. I also bought a pair of Catless Downpipes during a Black Friday Sale. I will have those installed soon, and then back to the dyn for a tune revision, and of course more dragy data.

GCA Catless Downpipes came in yesterday. Damn they are really nice. Tabs are nice and strong, welds are super nice, and the heat shielding is attached really well. Not bad for $808 to my door delivered under a week. My fabricator should have some space in his shop next week. Plan is to cut the stock catted downpipes. I have asked him to add v bands to the stock downpipes so they can be reinstalled if the need arises.

My future immediate plans are to add some Sunoco unleaded 100 to the craptastic 91 octane here in Az. Tuner said that getting the octane to the 93/94 octane level will allow the car to pick up even more. So back to the crappy road soon with the 93/94 octane mix to see if the big end picks up.
The Pilot 4s on my car are fairly new. However, even with a 1.72 sixty foot, it feels like it spins pretty hard around the 200 foot mark on the crappy road and the good road. A 3.16 is the best I have ever had 0 to 60. Yet I see people post 2.90 and 3.00's regularly on the same tire. What are you guys running for air pressure? I am not opposed to putting a drag radial on the car.
I know my DA isn't the greatest, the 1381 is the best I have seen so far. So I will just have to deal with that.
I am waiting on my fab guy to install my catless DP's as well. Hopefully I can get those on and the have the car re-tuned by Christmas.
