Euro Clear Side Markers or Clear White Side Markers? What did you ppl use?

Just wondering what style lenses you guys used tor replace those bad looking amber blinker light covers on your bumper. I didnt realize there were 2 styles. I will most likely go with the Euro ones(ones on top), it looks like they have more shine to them.
How easy is it to remove the amber ones and replace them with the clear ones?

Get painted ones from evosport.com. Much cleaner in my opinion.

greetingz,
steve, its all in the marketing...and its prooven to work right here in this thread. A consumer believes that because there is a difference in the looks of the two, one can be marketed as a 'euro' spec. creating more of a favored want item among the aftermarket scene. So this poor guy just got sold into a new way of selling the same thing.

greetingZ,
It is the same reason that a certain eatery in the US is called Benihana of Tokyo, but in Japan it is called Benihana of New York. Folks like foreign goods, even if they don't exist!

European TV is saturated with infomercials for products in the Euro 20 to 40 range that are designed in USA, with a big American flag, but most are made in China. People see USA and think, Oh, I must have that. US TV has a lot of ads for products that have been sold in "Europe for years" except people in Europe have never seen it. Things like mops, hose nozzles, and magic water absorbing cloth that is 20 times more thirsty than chamois leather. That is my personal favorite.

you may as well go with euro strips

but for a reference, check the picture in my signature. i have the "euro" ones. the removal is REALLY simple ... takes you about 5 seconds. you just take a flat screw-driver ... clip the sidemarker from the front - pushing towards the end of the car and slowly lifting it up. it will pop right out

Yeah, the Euro ones do look good, plus not to mention that the rims make your car look even better. Thanks for the info on how to remove them. Sounds really simple for a mod on this car, lol.
One other question for you, I know once I remove the old bulbs I can bring them to my auto parts store and buy the exact bulb in amber color, but would you know off hand what part number the light is? I dont want to have to run to the auto part store in the middle of the job.

Just to pre-warn you. Fitment isn't as perfect as OEM. I recently started to have a lot of condensation in mine, but I'm thinking of changing to Euro Impact strips eventually, so doesn't really bother me much.

no sorry, i dont know the OEM part number for the amber ones. I just dropped by some auto parts store (auto zone I believe it was) and bought a pair of 167NA amber for $2.99 which is the closest to the OEM ones.

if you get them, get the frosted ones
the "euro style" is pure rice.
another alternative is to smoke your oem ones with tint spray, if you have a dark colored car.
(I have the frosted ones)

greetingZ,
As opposed to EUROTRASH? It's called Euro Style because the car is German. Just like modders in the Honda world call their mods by some Japanese name, or how foreign car modders call their mods American Style.

Get over yourself.

it's called euro style because european models **if applicable** usually have clear vs orange/amber lens. therefore the term euro getting thrown around alot for lights or lens..

first off, this topic has been covered 9 million times on this forum. there are many different opinions and options, I don't see why it has to be brought up every week.

I'm normally really nice to the newbs, but do a damn search!

I find it ironic that you're calling something rice--coming from the person with 40 different badges that don't correspond to anything on their car and a reynolds wrap intake "mod"...

the "euro style" looks fine if you have an 05 or up or bixenons and all of your indicators and lights are clear. it flows well with the clear headlights, LED's, fogs, etc. if you have an older car with frosted headlights, etc., then the frosted on may be better. I never liked the frosted ones b/c I thought that they didn't look that great and made the car look dated.

yeah dude. TOTALLY rice. it's ok though, I guess my car is rice too, I did have those "euro style" ones on before I smoked your sidemarkers

you know what we can do though? to combat our cars from being rice? go on eBay and buy a bunch of knock-off Carlsson and AMG badges and totally deck out our car with those. (although you do have a Carlsson spoiler, but hey, you gots to put it on the engine along with the Carlsson aluminum foil intake!)

Forget it. You guys have inspired me to do even better. I'm gonna get rid of the side markers and put some running LED's on the side!
