W203/CL203 City Light Thread (LED, HID, bulbs) - All you want to know
I've got NOKYA Arctic white fog lights.
NOKYA arctic white secondary high beams (only applies to BI-X)
PIAA Extreme white parking light bulbs.
Check my signature below where it says, "Current Mods". I have pictures posted on my yahoo site.
Drex.
ps... If you want to replace the parking lights and want to get as close as possible to the BI-X or HID w/o putting in LED bulbs, go with the PIAA Extreme White bulbs.

As for looking at my signature for pics, many people don't even realize how many pics I have up on the yahoo links in my signature. Were you able to see my setup?

I have been looking for the #2825 parking lights in the super white color or the whitest color I can get, with no luck. Any suggestions?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

same here...bought a set of LEDs and need a converter too...any idea on how to get this and installed?

jtC230, I looked that the coverter thing on superleds.com, and im just like wtf is going on, i tried reading old threads and remembered drex said something about pigtails in a local auto store and dion doing some crazy wiring... argh i need to really sit down one day, and FIGURE THIS OUT!
I just do not like the yellowish color once I changed to super white headlight bulbs.
This is a tough one for a bulb so small!
1) parking lights are w5w (i.e. 194/168) wedge bulbs
2) LED parking lights can work with a load equalizer
- Because the LED bulbs do not draw as much current, when you install a LED 194/168 bulb in there, you'll notice it blinks, but doesn't stay constant. The reason it does this is because it is not drawing the proper current from the bulb to the socket, therefore it blinks as if it is a bad bulb
- Load equalizers/stabilizers can be found for very inexpensive prices. You just have to make sure that you get the right equalizer/stabilizer in order for the LED bulb to work properly.
If you don't want to go through the hassle of DIY and installing LED bulbs, then please do not be a "whiner/complainer" that says how nobody will help you with this (i.e. nobody will spoon feed me and do it for me) or continue to ask the same questions about lighting that have been answered millions of times.
Seriously, one more time for all the NEWBIES and the LAZIES, if you don't know how to DIY and don't want to do the research to LEARN, then DON'T DO IT! Plain and simple.
Now, if you want to go with as close as possible to the "whitest" light output with 194 wedge bulbs, go with PIAA EXTREME WHITE. These are not too "blue", but are as close as you'll get to LED white. This is a simple install (take out the 194 bulb in the headlight housing and install the new one).

How did you manage to cut the wire (grey) inside the headlamp? It is impossible to connect the resistor to the cut wire!!! Can you take a picture of your connection? Maybe, did you take off your headlights and do your surgery?
Where did you get your Super Tera? from ebay?
Thanks.
NOTE: you have to make sure you cut the positive wire and not the other one. as you can see..i don't have the OEM headlight so my positive wire is the blue wire. i guess if you have OEM it will be grey.
i have 6000K HID:

So, your new wire (+ve) is laying between the cap cover and the headlight right?
How do you manage to splice the connectors to the passenger headlight? It is slmost no space at all!
Do know where is the positive wire outside the back of the head lights? I see there are two plugs (black) connected to the head lights.
I believe most of us would prefer to cut the wires (+ve) outside the lights instead of inside, it will make the job much easier!
Thanks.

Did you cut your grey wire inside the head lights too?
