ok... so i want to buy both... but there are different prices on this site for 168 and 194:

http://www.2kracing.com/product_info...b847346b2d53bb

http://www.2kracing.com/product_info...b847346b2d53bb

so from what i've gathered... i can go with either of these two for BOTH city lights AND fogs?

i wonder why there is a price difference

polarg bulbs are quite bright for city lights. but going LEDs can never go wrong. but then again. you have to know which LED to use. if you use some weird white wide/or even narrow angle, it might look akward!

LEDS can never go wrong! thats in my book

haha yes. LED fogs has been done by me. lol I got sick of it. and tossed them out! if you want nice LED fogs, youd have to get the PIAA ones, but they cost like $85-90, might as well go HID! or get a cheap xenon kit for $109, then i'll give you the little trick to have it work

Industry standard lamps 194 and 168 are in the same envelope, but are quite different lamps. The 168 is brighter and closer to the W5W European designation specified by Mercedes. The 194 will be dimmer, and in some cases cause the lamp out message in the MFD.

If you want the ordinary incandescent lamp to match the light from QI or BIX lamps you need to raise the color temparature with bulb dye. I dipped mine in Rosco blue bulb coating.

it still wont match good, its not as "bright" as bi-x or HIDs, the color is smiliar, but not bright, in my case, i'd still reccommend to invest in a set of LEDs, they match, and is bright enough, and will last longer than your standard 168/194 bulb.

*EDIT*
heres how they look on my car,

my silverstar H7 and pep boy bought 'hyperwhite' 194 city light bulb pics...

I am in San Antonio this weekend...had planned to see a BB game....since I am here for a couple days I will probably look at the 'ricer' shops to find the polarg 164 bulb....if I don't find it...I welcome anysuggestions as to where to purchase online as I know I can not find them where I live.

They both fit in the housing, the 168 bulb uses more wattage (brighter) but don't last as long as a 194 bulb.

Actually those city lights don't look to bad.

I've been looking around for something to come close to my bixenons, and color wise they look pretty similar.

I need input please. I have read all these post on replacement bulbs in this thread. I have just purchased new headlights to upgrade my C240. Now I want to upgrade the bulbs. below is the headlights I purchased.
http://www.parkplacestores-mb.com/meccllehe.html

Are these the bulbs I need for a brighter white look:
two Hyper white 194's
four H7's for the low and high beams?

City Light close to 6000k HID's

Could someone recommend a good wedge that's close to the color of a 6000K Xenon bulb? I have 6000k Xenons (Real HID) on my C240 and the city lights stick out like a sore thumb .

Are the wedge bulbs for the W203 194 or 168? The PIAA listing is for 168..
