Bi-X: W203/CL203 OEM Bi-XENON Upgrade, Auto-Levelling & Programming thread

My take on the warranty is Daimler is responsible, even if MBUSA is not. The duration of the warranty for electrical parts should be until the new car warranty expires, or 1 year, which ever is longer. Sometimes, depending on your state, you enjoy a warranty that does not need to be writen by the manufacturer.
If you added a CL cluster, or S class tail lights, those types of mods would fall outside the warranty. Mercedes does make some kits to modify C class cars. If you add Bix, Satellite radio, AMG twice pipes (dual exhaust), or telephone completer kit with new genuine parts, you should enjoy a warranty.

sucks, but dealership won't warranty a product they didn't sell it to you even if they are OEM. BUT if your service advisor is nice enough he can simply use the part number instead of the vin number to order the parts for you under warranty.

I found someone that's only selling the right side so it's perfect for me. It says one of the mounting tab is broken; can I still use it without problem? Does the price look reasonable? Thanks.
In your case, see which part of your headlight is broken, is it the bulb? the ballast? the ignitor? get a local auto shop to diagonistic for you to see which part has problem. Stay away from stealership cuz they are expensive and... most importantly however, is that if you use the same OEM part again, you probably will get the same problem today.
What i did a couple days ago, which Im telling you, my OEM Bi-xenon ballast burnt out for the 2nd time (ya thank you OEM MB part). I decided to go for aftermarket ballast, have local auto shop to install it for me, of course some re-wiring needs to be done, but the mechanic knows what they are doing.
Using this method saves you lots of money, in the short run and in the long run.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I don't think the problem was the ballast tho, because last week when the light was still functioning, it felt like the whole kit inside the housing was shaking. It was kind of like missing a screw or something like that so the inside part was not secured. Anyone know what the problem might be if the ballast wasn't gone bad? About a month or so ago, I had one city light fell into the Bi-Xenon housing, could this be the reason causing the problem?
I'll go to a few auto shops on Monday and see what they can do about it. I'm also waiting for my dealer to call and tell me how much he wants this time. We'll see.
