You don't want blue - Anything above 5800 Kelvin = less effective light. WOFTAM!

oh, and if it turns out the ballast is bad, let me know. I have one laying around.

that is why i recommended the + bulbs because they don't shift like the others. but some people complain that they are not blue so i said that the 85122's are better if you want the blue.Originally Posted by Glyn M Ruck

hi i got my 2006 c230, recently, which has bi-x on it, though im not sure if they work correctly. everybody says they supposed to be leveling, though the only time i see them move is when they turn on, they move slightly up, my dads Lexus have bi-x too but you can really see them move when you turn the wheel. can someone please let me know how and when you can see them "leveling"? thanks
W203 HIDs only move up and down. If your dad's Lexus xenons move when you turn the wheel, they have "active steering" (the lights also move L and R). Unfortunately we don't have that, though I think it's available as an option for the current-gen W204.

negative on the active steer..it's adaptive headlamps... active steer is considered speed sensitive steering. and you barely have to turn the wheel to steer or turn the vehicle

Oops my bad, yeah I didn't know what the L-R turning headlights are called.Originally Posted by Norwichdelta06

What do you call the latest gen (such as W212), where the lights dim when approaching oncoming traffic?

Your lights are working properly. They don't turn as you turn. They only levels when you first start the car (and not every time).Originally Posted by vovanich123

My local dealer said they can set xenon=present but it will cost $130 to do it. Anyone have any place they can suggest in the San Antonio, Austin, Houston or Dallas area?

Im not sure if this is a better option or not but if the dealer wants to charge 130 to hook it up to a computer and hit a few buttons wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy the resistors? Or is that a bad idea? I dunno i'm just throwing an idea out there. Im happy but not satisfied with my Silverstars going to wait til my tax return this year before i go for a retrofit or OEM projectors. I would also recommend calling around. Dedicated Euro repair shops must have that star system

ya they shouldnt be asking you for 130...ask them why they want 130. and if they say labor it only takes max 30 minutes for someone who doesn't know how to do it (which they may not at first since its not common thing to find in the STAR program) they should at most be charging you 1/2 hr labor or maybe hour. My dealer in Florida didnt even wanna do it since its not factory etc etc but they did it for hour labor charge even though it took them 15 min at $50 an hour. GL
Robbers! - Print out the method from the stickies - Take it to them & tell them you will pay their full labour rate by the minute. The watch them & pay $20.
