The sensor wire is very thin and brittle and after 18 years a common item to be replaced.

But upon closer inspection of the outer tie rods, the boots of the ball joints were already shot
I replaced these in August 2022....I looked at the packaging of the outer tie rods and noticed something strange. I bought the suspension parts as part of a package from the brand "Atec Germany". But the packaging states: Manufactured in PRC aka Peoples Republic of China aka Made in China 
As they say: buy cheap buy twice...

I made a video for the loose inner tie rods, those have way too much play. I picked up new Febi Bilstein parts earlier today and will be fitting them in the next hours. Alignment is planned for upcoming friday@bbirdwell Exactly! I will also keep buying from known reputable brands from now on
