MBworld Tribunal. Whats your ruling on this.
Friday night I'm going to try and set the Dragtimes record for the fastest C55. I got a new TCU that is amazing, no shift delay at all! What I feel is the currant record is held my a C55 Kleemann S7. By Driver, Josh Hill (are you on mbworld?) The Record time to beat is 11.997.
This is where I need your ruling:
There is a time posted on dragtimes of 11.540. By driver, Benzmac. To me This time looks like B.S. the car year states its a 1998 C55
There is no time slip and the time was recorded in June of 2004. Lets face it Most C55 did hit the market until the fall of 2004. So either its a misplaced time or whatever.

Not sure how you get a C55 when you take a C43 and put an E55 motor in it. I'll knock that record off too then

lol.....Idk if i would count it as a C55. it is a different motor. its like a hybrid. like my roommates Mazda RX7 with a 305 in it. Is it a mazda or ford? Who knows? EIther way, your car is more of a C55 then the benzmacs IMHO

When I was at the track I was getting a slight delay inshifting in "S" mode because the trans was bouncing of the the RL for a small time. Its something I think you can only feel when you are driving it at WOT. I just got a TCU upgrade and its insane. Torque limits are all changed and the car shifts from gear to gear so much faster with no delay at all. I dont think you can shift a MT faster than the car is shifting. I will do my best to get my runs on video.
Its a tall order indeed, Lots of factors have to happen and Turkel's Heat exchanger has to hold.

C43/55
I am inclinded to go with most of the posts here. If the guy put the E55's 5.5K-V8 into a 1998 W202 C43 then I would call that a C43 (altered) or a C43/55K but it is no more a C55 than it is a C32 or C63. It is a frankenstein and really does not fit either category too well. If I put the Supercharged V8 from the new ZR1 Vette into my Chevy Vega would that make it a corvette? No. It is a more extreme example but is the same issue. I say you beat the 11.90's time and you own the crown mate.
