Product:
The quality is certainly top notch. A new belt and modified crank bolt is included along with very detailed instructions (photo below). Once evosport was back in stock, the pulley arrived at my door in 3-days. Packaging was excellent.

Install:
I had my local shop (CarbConn in Kirkland, WA) do the install. It's about a 2 hour job. It went very smoothly but there were a couple unique things to call out.

1) They needed to lock the transmission flexplate to remove the crank bolt as they didn't have the OEM pulley counterholder tool (MBZ Essential Service tool (EST) #112589004000). Same procedure was followed when they torqued down the new bolt.

2) Instructions also called for heating up the evosport hub to 200-degrees before installing it onto the crank. CarbConn had a little convection oven on site as they've dealt with this requirement during previous pulley installs. Using a torch is another option, but the oven heats things much more uniformly. It went on like butter once it was heated up. Welding gloves are a must.

Weight:
The evosport pulley is 2 lbs. lighter than stock. More weight savings!

OK, on to the dyno stuff . . .

My Car:
2010 C63 AMG w/ 3,386 Miles running 92 Octane (Shell) w/o charcoal filters
+ Kleemann K1 ECU Tune
+ PLM Exhaust Manifolds
+ GT PRO Single X-Pipe

Conditions:
Temp: 64-74 Degrees F
Barometer: 30.00-30.17 in-Hg
Humidity: 17-34%
Elevation: 200-ft

Dyno:
Dynojet Model 424xLC2
All pulls (before and after) done in 5th gear w/ SAE Correction Factor & Smoothing 5 on the same day, on the same dyno.

Results:
evosport Power Pulley (After Pulls):
03/27/10 = 446.05 RWHP / 407.98 RWTQ
03/27/10 = 445.93 RWHP / 400.58 RWTQ
03/27/10 = 444.73 RWHP / 402.56 RWTQ

Stock Crank Pulley/Harmonic Balancer (Before Pulls):
03/27/10 = 435.85 RWHP / 395.79 RWTQ
03/27/10 = 434.67 RWHP / 395.50 RWTQ
03/27/10 = 433.78 RWHP / 397.37 RWTQ

Gains:
Power / Torque vs. Highest Same Day Baseline
+10.12 RWHP / +12.19 RWTQ (Peak)
+12.96 RWHP / +
15.76 RWTQ @ 4300 RPM
+15.07 RWHP / +12.24 RWTQ @ 6450 RPM

Conclusion:
I'm very happy with this mod. Revs "feel" like they come easier and this modification certainly frees-up power/torque throughout the power band. I would not recommend tackling the install on your own due to the unique requirements. I certainly do not have an oven in the garage and welding gloves on standby.

Graph/photos below. I hope this was helpful.

Best before and best after dyno pulls (Note: I ignored the spike to 447.30 RWHP @ 6800 RPM. Quick spikes like that aren't real power. From 6400-6500 RPM it stayed above 446 RWHP, maxing out at 446.05 RWHP @ 6469 RPM)

Same graph showing the gains at 4486 RPM

WOW!! Great gains(as I already expected them), it made power the entire rpm ramge. Please join my side on this stupid non-sense discussion:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...lly-users.html

Can you let them know that you actually made power? people still wouldn't believe it. You proved it, they can't prove it.

Once again super, super job. Let us know if you get any electrical problems with everything turned on to the max.

I'll be monitoring voltage closely. So far, nothing has changed. I have a AutoEnginuity for data logging and my Escort Passport 9500i has a built in Voltage Meter. I'll be sure to post if I encounter any issues or irregularities.

There should be absolutel;y no electrical related issues unless the pulley diameter has been changed.

The diameter of the evosport pulley is smaller and the accessories are under-driven.

Thanks for doing this! The first convincing post proving this pulley works. I'm glad to hear no electrical issues either so far. This was the other area of concern, but it's nice to know you have all the tools available to monitor the health of your car.

After you do the rotors I'm going to have a hard time keeping up with you! I might need to pull the cats haha.

Another great write-up for the forum from Superlubricity!

I thought it was just a lightweight pulley and not an underdrive? For those of us who live in the desert, we cannot afford to underdrive our AC compressors. EC's is just a lighter weight pulley. I wonder who will pull the trigger on that one? Sorry to go a little OT.

Thanks!

Thank you for the incredible write up! Evo should send you a gift basket or a first son or something.

What are the possible issues associated with under-driven accessories?

Excellent write up and thank you for taking the time to do it for all of us to share. Please keep us posted if any electrical gremlins pop up for you. If you dont mind me asking how much did Carbconn charge for the install?

Thanks again...

Carb Conn charges a little over 100/hour i believe so a little above 200 + tax. I think I'll be going there when I put my crank pulley on as well.
