06 c55 quad exhaust on w209?

Hay guys, quick question. Will the 06 c55 quad exhaust fit the w209?

I know I will need a new wheel well.

Thanks! !

Another member was able to fit one in. I'm not sure what mods he did but he didn't need to cut the bumper.

Let me know if you find out anything. I was also looking to put C55 exhaust on my CLK500.

Will do. I have quad tips, x pipe and a magna flow exhaust sitting in my garage, but I want something more factor and not as loud.

After putting a exhaust on my jeep commander hemi I'm worried I might get too much drone.

Did you see this thread? C32 to C55 exhaust:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...t-c32-amg.html I think the set up should be the same for a CLK since V6 W203 mufflers/exhausts are interchangeable with W209. You would just have to cut the bumper (along with change spare tire well) on the passenger side.

Its done on my car, both W209&W203 05-06 AMG Exhaust are the same , the only difference is the tips size , W209 has the same tips size of W211,W219,W215,R230 Which is bigger than W203 ...

See my thread when I installed C55 exhaust on my W209 CLK55 04

When you say the same do you just mean direct bolt on? The W203 C55 muffler has more of a canister shape with smaller tips. Did you modify your tips in the link you provided? They look bigger than C55 tips.

Yea direct bolt on , the only thing i did is switching d tips , i removed the small tips of c55 and replaced them with the clk ones

I'm wondering if there are any benefits of going with a c55 muffler over a clk55 muffler or vice versa?

Quad exhaust is only for a more nice sound and better rear look , also you can make it more aggressive if you go with true dual....
Sure it adds some hp/tq since the pressure is not again on one muffler

I was just wondering why you didn't install (2) CLK55 mufflers instead of (2) C55 mufflers since you went ahead and changed the tips on the C55 to CLK55. My assumption is that it is more difficult to find a CLK55 muffler for the passenger side to match the driver side?

Yea correct its very hard to find 05-06 CLK mufflers so that's why I went with this idea.... Well to find a muffler for the passenger side to match with driver side is not that difficult , I've done it 1st before switching to 05-06 quad exhaust.... see post #19

That is a nice alternative without having to modify the spare tire well.

I see that you did end up cutting the spare tire well when you put the C55 mufflers on.

Between the two set ups, which one did you like best (sound, responsiveness, looks, etc.)? CLK muffler and custom smaller muffler or two C55 mufflers with your true dual set up?

Yes it is if you don't want to modify the spare wheel well , that's the best way to go quad exhaust.
Sure you have to cut it so the 05 mufflers fits or get the 05-06 spare wheel well of c55 clk55 clk63(07 + ) , also the spare wheel well I didn't find it , that's why I went to cutting the old one, but now I found one .
Each step has a different +- , as a look , the oem muffler + CUSTOm small muffler has a very bad look from down , but as a sound its very very aggressive , and as u see from down with 2 c55 mufflers or clk55 mufflers has a more better look , it looks more clean having 2 the same size.... As a sound for the c55 mufflers is very nice and aggressive as well because im going true dual.... Well for now im very happy , no drum inside the car , responsiveness is better cuz true dual and having EC ecu tune with K&n filters.
