2011 E350 A/C Drains

Apparently one of my evaporator drains must be plugged or hose off. Getting water on floor on Passenger side and significant water on back seat floor. Originally I blamed it on rain because we had a lot of rain a week ago, but it has been dry hot and humid since. I keep it vacuumed up but today I drove it with A/C on and when I got home the back seat carpet was wet again. The front passenger floor is slightly wet, must be that it runs from the front to the back. Can someone share where the drains are and best way to clean them out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

The condensation drains are located at the side of the transmission, remove underside paneling to see if they are draining properly.

Not A/C drains, sunroof rear drains I think

Well it is not the A/C drains looks like it may be the rear sunroof drains. Do you know how to get to them? I don’t know where they terminate or maybe I could blow compressed air backwards to clean them out. Do you have any info on them? Is their one or 2 drains in the rear of sunroof?

again thank you in advance for any info.

4 drains, one at each corner of sunroof with hoses located at A & C pillars draining @ each fender liner. Capture shows rear, PDF attachment front.

Well one more question. I really think the rubber seal around the glass panel of the Sunroof is dry and may have shrunk a little. I think all the rain we had one day (3 inches) overwhelmed the drains (I have cleaned them now) because the seal was allowing significant water in the drain channel. I can see a slight gap in places between the roof panel and the seal on the glass. I have a 1998 S320 and the seal on that car is tight when closed, and has not leaked. I assume on my E350 the seal should fit tight too? I’m going to replace the seal and wondering if that is a common issue with the newer cars. The car is original, never in an accident.

any thought would be appreciated!
thanks again for all the help!

Harvey

You may also want to consider hose line at roof (650). See attachments concerning seal replacement.

Thanks to all

Thanks to all of you responded to my water leak. It tuned out to be the seal around the glass sun rood panel. I did clean out the front sun roof drains as well, but I couldn't see a way to get to the rear drains on the sun roof to clean them out. At least there are no leaks now.

If anyone know an easy way to get to the rear sunroof drains I would love to know.

Thanks again.
Harvey
