The customer reports that the vehicle should have digital light animations/projections. After investigation, we found that the vehicle is currently configured in a way that requires a head unit update, specifically CIVIC_FUP3.1. This update is necessary to enable the feature and is not yet available.
The update will be provided either via an over-the-air update or during a workshop visit once it is released. The customer will need to wait for this update to activate the digital light animations/projections.
At this present time we do not have an available date of when this will take place.

OTA Update 3.2.1 complete
once again confirmed. Here is the response I received from tier 2 support.

I wouldn't fret over it. The digital light package as it exists today in the US is a big disappointment. You will barely know it's there if you did have it. Until it can do things like adjust/shape the light beam around cars, reduce glare when driving at night in the rain, or improve sign illumination without unwanted glare it amounts to just some gimmicky light tricks that you will rarely even see.

I didn't expect it would since the update says it was for a communications module and no mention of lights was made.

It was in the letter they mailed to me and many members that own a w214. You can see the contents of that letter from my post in the thread about the latest OTA update here. Did you get the same letter?

Greetings: Just had my auto checked today for all software updates. Was one update besides what we received the other week OTA for the Communication Module. My Check Engine Light came on twice and stayed on two different days about three weeks ago. It seems many owners were calling as it is due to the low voltage-12- when it is cold out for a few days even with the car in the garage. It seems I did not use the car for two-three days when we had that snow and sleet. This is common and goes away once you are using the auto for a period of time. Just a heads up.
Also, the Firmware/Software Update-Refresh 3.1 to fully operate our digital Light is still not available so I can turn on the Welcome/Farewell and some other features. Told that it should be OTA and before April 1, 2025.
Hang in there. But as Wolf stated above, it is nothing that is exciting to these new features.

Yes, see this thread. Many have installed without issue. I don't recall anyone reporting an issue other than it taking a long time. Ideally, you let it run the update without stopping it, but it is supposed to resume if you do. I don't trust it myself and waited until I was going to be driving for at least 2 hours.

Sorry, I don't know what 02/2024 is. Did you mean to type something else?
Also, you appear to have a newer version than those of us on 3.2.1 that show software version E267.0-5586. That would likely be the reason you did not get an OTA update. When did you get your car?

My car is W214 from the year February 2024.My communication modul has been updated over the OTA. The software MBUX 3.2.1 is not install.

No need to go back that far. Every time I get into my 2019 SL my first reaction--positive reaction--is wow, gages and buttons !! Nothing washes out in bright sunlight, most controls I can find by touch, and it looks classier than flat computer screens. But then I'm a baby boomer....

I have not received the 2nd OAU, but had the car in for service yesterday due to the manual map update which went to about 50% and me turning the car off, it woul not start over or continue installing. The dealer installed MBUX E270.1-5683, but left the map version at 10.2. I will update but not turn the car off.

Came across this to help with the map install and keeping the head unit live. Instruction 4.1: Activate parking brake and engage gear N. Engaging drive range N serves to prevent the ignition from being automatically switched off.
