How do you explain people reporting losing power from the cams?
- 11 sets of cams are out there right now.
- Only 1 set has been installed where the installer/owner reported a loss of power on the dyno and that was Rocket's car. The thing with Rocket's car is that there are a bunch of variables at play there. Once you see the new dyno graphs from Rocket's car it wont be an issue anymore. I dont want to get into the details, but the main thing is his car was the only one with an Evotech flash and the only one that lost power on the dyno.
All the other cars the cams were installed on were Kleemann cars + VRP ECU cars.
- All others are installed, more power has been shown, and everyone is happy.
With Albert's car.. I cant remember what he was running on the Red pull.. I think he was testing some other parts + ice in reservoir.. you have to ask him.. I was only concerned with Stock vs our Cams.
my car was a bit lean on bottom and rich up top. Vadim will have it pretty close to perfect when hes done.
there is still some missing HP but I belive they are on the right track.
That's not necessarily tru. You can run too lean and lose power if the car is running WOT. My car was a perfect ex of that when I used the Kleemann cams without having the SW done. Yes you can also lose pwr if your car is running too rich up top.As the rpm's go up at WOT you want the car to run richer for power, and reliability. Ignition timing also comes into play here. Basically you have to look at the whole A/F ratio curve, whp, timing, rpm's,and listen of watch for knock when you r tuning but the trend is for the car to run richer as the rpm's climb at W.O.T.
And yes Ahmad I would get the VRP ECU if you use their cams.
