I took very little time to investigate the suite if software that came with my "Chinese" D3 star system. I had no trouble using the DAS component. I had a D630 lying around and swapped in the hard drive I received with my system.
i would be mindful to confirm you have the right PC/laptop, check all your cabling, never connect the laptop to the internet (keep the wifi disabled). There are guides available for those attempting to use a new operating system laptop if you search for them.
There is nothing wrong with making money from your interactions on this site but be cautious with those who use PM and email to assist you if they are selling anything. If you are timed limited, you can definitely buy a system with customer support but I would invest time in making sure you have the right setup and connections for what you purchased.

Wondering if anyone can help me figure out why my passenger mirror won't tilt when in Reverse on a W251 US-spec chassis.
My car has memory seats (driver/passenger) and memory mirrors, and in the DCM-FR and FL modules it even has "Front passenger exterior mirror with park position function" set to ACTIVE. But whatever I do, I can't get it to function (I tried setting the switch to [R], then adjusting the mirror). I seem to have read somewhere that the specific model year, 2007, saw them disabled (and it's missing from my manual, as well). Is there anything I can do to solve this? Maybe set the car to ROW?

Think you still need to set it in the instrument cluster under convenience or something.
Hey guys, been looking through STAR for awhile now and still cannot find the Keyless Go function to disable. I went through IC and looked through just about everything and couldn't come up with anything KG that I could select or disable. Think there was a special functions at the end of the IC page that required a password to continue, not sure if I need to go through there or not. Anyone have progressive details on how to navigate there, seems like it should be easily accessible? Thanks.

Valuable tool to verify maintenance if hard copies are not available. Only applies if work performed via dealer or a conscientious owner/maintainer.
Playing around with the system and found this via the simulation. Tried it today while performing a B service.

-Information and Communication
-Assyst Plus - Plus
-General Servicing
-Service Memory
Peruse the entries that show number of days since Central Gateway enabled, days since last service, mileage at time of service, shop designator, and service items confirmed during the service.
If you don't have access to the hard copy records, the Central Gateway maintains all services in memory so long as the Flexible Service System procedures are followed.

some data might be stored in your car's modules
the complete but only done by MB dealerships is in the MB online dealer interface
right now, only very few independents have access to that part.
