Got word this morning that mine is covered and will have everything replaced. It's been 2+ weeks, so possibly another week or more with the loaner. Can't complain at all, just glad it will be sorted for reliability / safety and especially peace of mind.

Got my baby back today. Runs like a dream and I literally feel it a bit different. Call me crazy but I feel it.
Car was dropped off on the 18th of Feb. received it today so the turn around time was awesome considering I've heard some people taking a while to get the car back.

Got a call from my Mercedes dealership after filing a claim for paying for this job a couple years ago on my E55. He said his accountant is writing up the check for reimbursement and he'll give me a call when it's ready. Nice move Mercedes!

Good to see some members getting the repair done with quick turnaround. I'm waiting myself on getting reimbursed for the two repairs i had to get done on the E55.

I got mine done and went from barely able to make 300 miles on a tank to over 300 miles and 1/4 tank left. Of course this was only when I had to be able to withstand the smell because of a long trip.

Well, I'm about to cross into the 8 week territory of waiting for my car to be done. Still waiting on a fuel pump to arrive. Everything else is done.

When I called and spoke to a service advisor, he said the tank is what's covered in the recall. The pumps /filters need to be accessed. Is there anything I can do to get them to cover those as well?

In all honesty, I don't have a code and I only get a faint smell of fuel when I fill up.... So let me rephrase the question.... What can I do to make sure they change everything even without a code and only a faint smell. Lol

Yes sir!!!!!! Seen it myself. Amusingly, they ordered the non-AMG one the first time and it just so happened that another e-class showed up for the exact same work. Or at least that's the story I got from them. Either way, it's tucked away in the garage waiting on that pump assembly.

Yea the tank, pumps and all other components. I do know the AMG parts are a little different, my advisor said for mine they come in pieces, not all at once.

I'm so glad my dealership took my car before the recall even hit there system. Took them 5 business days for my repair
. Don't know how I would handle not having the car for 2+ weeks

Have the dealer order the parts before you bring the car in, or wait until the backlog of parts has caught up. Otherwise be prepared to fight fight fight the dealer, as many are either denying the repairs, or they'll do a partial repairs (ie: just the fuel sender when you should get new tank/sender/pump).
