Believe me guy, I'm not sure I'm proud to be the current record holder, but I 'm pretty sure I am the record holder. To add insult to injury, if not a bit of humor to the situation, the registration on my loaner expired the beginning of this week too.

Got the wagon back yesterday....Total time at the dealership: 3 weeks. Runs great and I can put her back in the garage. Smell/fume was so bad that I had to open the garage or leave the car outside. All covered by MBZ.
Will report later on gas mileage....Curious to see if I will see a significant improvement.

Fuel Tank Replacement
All fuel tank components replaced by MB Fort Lauderdale. 3 day turnaround with a loaner. Hadn't put more than 15 gallons in the tank for 4 years. Nice to be finally fixed.

I just got a call from my service advisor and he said that my E350 is ready for pick up tomorrow morning. Wow I was really amazed that my local dealership only took exactly a week to replace my fuel tank, sending unit, and fuel gauge (level sensor). Since my e350 is done, my E55 is next and Im going to drop it off tomorrow for some repair. Hopefully I still get to drive the same loaner car regarding on this new warranty coverage. I kinda enjoy driving this new W205 C300 though hehe.

Which dealership did you take your car in? Im guessing that your car needs more replacement parts than average W211s, unless they are taking their sweet time.

didn't read all 20 pages. What is the major failure, and if the repair is done at an indy shop, is it covered/reimbursed?

MBWorld Fanatic!
For the warranty work it must be done at the dealership. If you have had it repaired and paid for it at the Indy then it will be reimbursed but you need receipts

Dealer finally has my car fixed!!!!
6 1/2 weeks to do the repairs. Sadly they used older parts (and not the latest designs), but I'm just happy to finally have the fuel leaks and stink fixed.
To anyone else who needs the fix, I suggest waiting until June or later, as by then maybe all the old parts will be gone and you'll get the latest revision parts.

Dropped my e55 off at mb south Orlando yesterday and they said it would be completed today but they will be charging me 2 hrs labour because I have my rear cats deleted and the exhaust is welded together so they have to drop the whole exhaust system. Seems a lot of labour to charge when they have to drop the rear section to change the tank.i suppose it takes 2 hrs to remove a few more bolts
