!!! ATTENTION !!!! - FUEL LEAK ISSUE HAS BEEN SETTLED BY DAIMLER-BENZ... 2014.12.23

Honestly, keep it full as much as you can & I'm sure it will start going bad (i.e. crack) in no time
Make sure they replace tank, sender, and fuel pump.
Although I would wait to bring it in. Wait until parts supply has caught up, otherwise if they have to wait on parts they will try their hardest to deny. Plus after parts supply catches up, you'll get the latest and greatest design (and not old inferior design like I got)
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
It part of it - whatever you do - DO NOT clear the code before taking it to the dealer.
You aren't getting free parts from MBZ without an obvious fuel smell.

I'm curious if they are willing to fix it with no BS blow back.
I Just got my 04 E55 yesterday, filled her up, and there it is.
stinks like gas.
On that note, can anyone recommend a good indy shop in the NY area?
Ideally I would like someone who knows and deals with AMG's often.
Thanks Fellas!

Make sure the the SA writes the words "fuel smell" on the repair order... VERY IMPORTANT FOR REIMBURSEMENT.

Yes 55. Ill have to get back to you when I check invoice at home, but I was told (by service writer) everything that involves the tank which means the tank, sending units, filters and the hole 9. Standby for clarification!
When I walked back out the valet was standing next to my car with two fire extinguishers staring at it
