Mercedes’ Performance Prototypes Spied at The Nürburgring

YouTuber gets candid footage of some wicked incognito Benzes testing their might on the Green Hell.

Most of us would give a lot to live in proximity to the Nürburgring. On top of being able to drive the track in just about anything, the car-spotting is unlike anywhere else on earth. YouTuber Misha Charoudin is no stranger to the ‘Ring. As an Apex Taxi driver as well as a Vlogger, his channel is full of the most exciting stuff that happens at the legendary race track. And while wild sights can be had just about every day, his most recent video really caught our eye.

The amount of heavy metal captured in his latest video is simply jaw-dropping. Automakers from all over the world were there testing new cars. There was Volkswagen’s sporty new T-Roc R, a couple of new SEATs being put through their paces, and a few new Porsche 911s and 718 Caymans. An Aston Martin is seen wearing new bumper treatments, and a lone Ferrari 488 is spied, along with a brand new BMW 8-Series. The upcoming facelifted Mini is here, living up to its racing heritage. A number of even hotter Honda Civic Type-Rs were being put to the test in camouflage. And driving the point home that the hot hatch market is, well, hot, a Hyundai i30N was also getting shaken down.

On to the Good Stuff

But one of that is what we want to talk about today. No, Charoudin’s Nürburgring video captured a number of new Mercedes performance cars being put through their paces, along with a head-scratcher or two.

For starters, we see the upcoming C63 AMG being put through its paces. Not only that, but he gets an up-close look at it at one of the track’s gas pumps. Then, we see a brutal-looking (and sounding) AMG GT S Black Series in camouflage tearing it up. Finally, a bit of forbidden fruit: A yellow AMG A45 hot hatch looking like it was born to be wrung out on the ‘Ring.

And for proof that Germans have an underrated sense of humor, someone was out flogging a new Mercedes A-series with taxi livery around the Nürburgring track. Either Mercedes is leaning into the car’s reputation as an anonymous, no-frills people mover and testing something wild under the radar, or a bored taxi driver felt like improving their lap time during some off hours. Regardless, we love it.

Considering that this is just another random day at the legendary track, who knows what Charoudin will find next. We’re just glad he’s out there regularly posting these videos. And, of course, we’re supremely jealous.
