Warning for Anyone Buying a 2020 E63S – RMS Leak
Just a heads-up for anyone considering an E63S: my 2020 E63S with only 16,000 km had an RMS (rear main seal) leak. I got it fixed under warranty a few months ago, but it took Mercedes a full month to complete the repair.



Pretty disappointing that they haven’t issued a recall for such a common issue on these models. If it wasn’t under warranty, the repair would’ve cost over $10,000 CAD. Hope no one else has to deal with this.

Do you mean the new oil separator introduced in 2019 with the LS2? If so, while it’s true that Mercedes updated it with better sealing materials, it’s still prone to leaking. My car had the issue at just 16,000 km, which is extremely low for such a problem.
